As a Validation Execution Engineer on Intel's CPU post-silicon team, you will ensure CPU designs meet quality goals efficiently. Responsibilities include driving and executing validation qualification processes across platforms, analyzing execution data to optimize test suites and gauge product health, tuning system hardware and software for validation efficiency, and designing automation tools to streamline the validation process. You will also apply data analytics and machine learning to enhance validation coverage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation tools.
Must have:
  • Bachelor/Master in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Software development experience
  • PC architecture interest
  • C, C++, C#, Perl, or Python programming
  • Analyze execution data and performance monitors
  • Tune/optimize system hardware and software
  • Design and develop automation tools
  • Apply data analytics and machine learning
Good to have:
  • Database and web programming
  • Basic knowledge of CPU architecture
  • Experience in computer system validation

Job Description: 

As today's Intel processor technology progresses with higher complexities and faster delivery time to the market, the CPU Validation team is tasked to meet these new technological challenges by ensuring all CPU designs meet or exceed the quality goals in the most efficient way possible. As a Validation Execution Engineer, you will be part of the CPU post-silicon team performing system validation on many of Intel's next generation processor designs.

Main responsibility is to drive and execute validation qualification processes across platforms to uncover and debug test and silicon bugs. This encompasses:

  • Analyze execution data and performance monitors to optimize the running of test content suites and to gauge product health in the shortest amount of time

  • Tune/optimize system hardware and software parameters to improve validation efficiency

  • Design and develop an automation tool stack that will streamline our validation process and improve the product quality of next-gen Intel Core

  • Apply data analytics and machine learning techniques to analyze and enhance next-gen Intel Core product validation coverage

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation tools into our product development and validation workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering

  • Preferably with experience in software development and strong interests in PC architecture.

  • C or C++ or C# or Perl of Python programming.

  • Database and web programming will be a plus.

  • Basic knowledge/experience in CPU architecture and features, computer system and validation will be an added advantage.
