About The Role

We’re looking for a Creative Videographer on a FTC for 3 months, with potential to extend into a full time position - they will be a camera-and-edit-obsessed content maker who lives for storytelling, thrives on set, and wants to grow inside a fast-moving, creatively ambitious agency.

This is a role for someone who’s been shooting and cutting their own content, maybe freelancing across branded work or socials, and now wants to take that next step: joining a growing team, shaping an evolving creative studio, and helping us bring our biggest ideas to life.

You’ll work directly with the Creative Director and Creative Producer to shoot and edit content across a wide range of formats - from BTS on creator shoots, to campaign sizzles, to social-first content for Whalar’s own channels. Some projects will be rough and reactive, others will be polished and precise. You’ll be part of both.

This is a hands-on, creatively collaborative, culturally connected role - ideal for someone who wants to be in the room, on the shoot, in the edit, and at the heart of the action.

Here’s What You’ll Do Day-to-day

  • Film and edit high-quality video content across a wide variety of projects - from studio shoots to events to internal sizzles

  • Support branded entertainment shoots, creator content days, and live experiences with BTS capture and short-form content

  • Edit and shape campaign sizzles, case studies, and social media cutdowns with style, rhythm, and story

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, Creative Producer, and Marketing team to shape and deliver content for Whalar’s social channels

  • Sit in creative brainstorms to contribute ideas, social series concepts, and content structures

  • Liaise with other creatives, freelancers, and production partners to help scale content delivery

  • Use and maintain your own camera gear, with additional support provided by Whalar where needed

  • Adapt to different styles, tones, and formats - from slick commercial work to lo-fi creator content

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience as a content creator, videographer, editor, or all-round studio creative

  • Proven ability to shoot with your own kit, and cut with speed and intention in Premiere Pro, DaVinci or After Effects

  • A flexible, production-minded creative who can adapt quickly to new briefs, styles and environments

  • A culturally curious content maker who loves creators, creativity and being in the thick of it

  • Someone who’s comfortable working hybrid - in-office, on-location, or on-set depending on the week. We work 2-3 days from our office currently, but flexibility will be needed for shoots.

  • A team player who thrives in collaborative creative environments, and wants to help shape the culture of Whalar Studios
