Data Product Manager

The Role and What You’ll Do

The Data Product Manager will own the delivery of new capabilities across analytics, reporting, machine learning, and other data-driven initiatives. This role will help execute our data strategy, manage the lifecycle of data products, and ensure our data infrastructure aligns with business needs. As part of the Data Product Management team, you will work closely with business and technology partners across On Location and the Data team’s engineering and data science groups.
 

Key Responsibilities

1. Support Data Product Strategy

• Assist in defining and maintaining the vision and roadmap for data products, focusing on supporting business goals and improving data accessibility.

• Work with stakeholders from different departments to understand their data needs and document requirements for data product features.

2. Assist with Product Development

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to support the development, testing, and implementation of data products, including data pipelines and dashboards.

• Participate in project planning, track progress, and help ensure timely delivery of new data features.

3. Data Quality & Governance Support

• Work alongside data engineering and governance teams to monitor data quality and ensure adherence to data standards.

• Help document data definitions, standards, and quality assurance processes for key data products.

4. Stakeholder Communication & Training

• Act as a point of contact for data product questions, helping business users understand and use data products effectively.

• Assist with developing training materials and conduct basic user training sessions to guide teams in leveraging data insights.

You Have These:

• Experience: 2-4+ years of experience in technical product management, ideally with a focus on analytics or data platforms.

• Salesforce Expertise: Direct experience working within the Salesforce ecosystem, particularly with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Data Cloud from a data integration and orchestration perspective.

• BI Tools: Familiarity with BI tools such as PowerBI, Quicksight, Omni, Looker, etc.

• Technical Skills: Ability to work with SQL, Python, or other languages, with a desire to build stronger data analytics skillsets.

• Platform Integrations: Strong experience with platform integrations, including internal products and third-party platforms using APIs, webhooks, etc.

• Product Requirements: Experience working with and interviewing end customers and internal stakeholders to generate product requirements.

• Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of legal and regulatory standards related to data storage and transfer.

• Facilitation Skills: Strong facilitation skills to lead productive meetings and deliver impactful training.

• Project Management: Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and initiatives simultaneously.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to quickly incorporate information from multiple sources, produce actionable recommendations, and drive delivery of technical implementations to high standards.

• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage external partnerships and internal teams.

• Event Experience: Experience working on large-scale sporting events or global programs.

• Systems Architecture: Familiarity with systems architecture design and experience as a user of data orchestration and data warehouse tools.
