Disney Entertainment Studios segment encompasses global entertainment media and content, including streaming. The Disney+ Digital Marketing team oversees digital campaign strategy, social programming, and engagement for @DisneyPlus platforms. This includes the development, strategy, planning, publishing, and operations for @DisneyPlus (domestic and international) across digital and social platforms. Responsibilities include brand platform development, content creation, event strategies, digital brand marketing, amplification of Disney+ content and product priorities, title marketing campaign integration, and cross-line-of-business support.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will support the wider Disney+ Digital Marketing Team and work closely with internal stakeholders to build out overarching digital campaign plans for key Disney+ beats and priorities.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be strategic, collaborative, process and detail-oriented, with an understanding of macro level strategies and emerging platforms. They will shepherd multiple projects at a time within a fast-paced environment while ensuring that the Disney+ digital campaigns are fully realized and key partners have an understanding of the digital big picture. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, can adapt to processes, meet deadlines, and possess excellent copywriting and communication skills.
Candidates should be collaborative, creative, and organized, with a strong understanding of all digital platforms. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have a background in digital or social video creative. Candidates should be proactive, a strong team player, and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Digital Campaign Planning
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned digital campaigns on behalf of the service and partner with wider team on key beats and priorities for Disney+. This includes building out Campaign Briefs, inclusive of known paid beats and managing larger platform partnerships as assigned by leader
- Participate in quarterly planning meetings, leading portions relevant to work assignments
- Update Airtable campaign planning and priorities grid in collaboration with other team members including prioritization and tiering recommendations
- Key stakeholder in standing studio partner meetings
- Use insights, marketing strategies, audience insights, and platform best practices drive campaign planning for:
- Disney+ Brand POV on Campaigns
- Day to day contact for DBT/NatGeo
- Assigned Platform Partner project management for larger campaigns (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.)
- XLOB and other brand priorities - as assigned by leader
- Participate in digital calendar planning with team leaders to ensure alignment across the org
- Collaborates w/ Manager on programming strategy and windowing for @Disney+ for respective title campaigns
- Includes staying abreast of content development strategy and requests from global territories and plans from studios
- Partner Management
- Lead assigned projects as determined by Director and Manager and act as the source of truth
- Attend brainstorms and meetings that may involve future projects that require cross-team/segment coordination
- Represent the Disney+ Digital Marketing Team as needed in stakeholder meetings as delegated by team leader
- Collaborate with cross functional teams across Disney Entertainment, Global Marketing Strategy, Digital COE, and broader TWDC enterprise for campaign development and long lead planning that is aligned with Disney+ priorities
- Asset Coordination
- Coordinate approved assets and copy from partners, aligning with wider marketing plans and reporting needs for beats and campaigns
- Provide occasional posting and asset trafficking support to the paid social team
- Assist in live content coverage and execution for talent press junkets, content shoots, and marketing events
- Ideate new social concepts to engage digital audiences, leveraging brand-safe trends
- Attend brainstorms and meetings for future projects, ensuring cross-team coordination
- Asset tracking, sourcing, and coordination for Disney+ content
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years digital marketing for brand and entertainment properties
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate traditional marketing content into engaging and brand relevant conversations
- Passion for storytelling, listening to what the community has to say
- Basic understanding of digital analytics and performance tracking
- Superior knowledge of social platforms and its native products
- Ability to be nimble and adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
- Polished in presentation and communication
- Be able to find creative solutions to challenges and use data to drive content development and programming decisions
- Passion, appreciation, and knowledge of Disney movies, Disney+ series, shorts, and characters
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and Box
- Understanding of Social Media platforms required such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tik Tok.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- BA or BS in Journalism, Film, Marketing, and/or relevant field or 5+ years experience
- Previous experience with CRM tools – AirTable, Smartsheets, and/or Zendesk preferred
- Experience in Keynote, Google Slides
- Experience within brand entertainment marketing and/or streaming services a plus
- Previous experience working with large, matrixed organizations a plus
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $64,300 to $86,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
