JOB DETAILS:
The client is seeking a qualified Electrical Project Engineer (or Senior Electrical Designer) to join theirteam and work alongside other professional and talented engineers, designers, and support staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• All facets of electrical design implementation of the following: lighting, lighting controls, normal power systems, standby/emergency power systems, one-line/riser diagrams, arc flash analysis, short-circuit studies, utility coordination, equipment selection and specifications, comprehensive electrical system design and layout, field investigation and observation, and construction administration.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, E.I.T./P.E. Registration (preferred).
• 6+ years of project experience (10+ years for non-degreed).
• Demonstrated technical expertise for all major electrical systems, industry-related codes, standards, and guidelines.
• Active participation in industry related organizations for technical and professional development.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word – Excel - Outlook), SKM (or EasyPower), Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Must-Haves:
• Experience: 6+ years of electrical project experience (or 10+ years for non-degreed candidates).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or significant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in designing electrical systems such as lighting, power systems, and emergency power, as well as conducting studies (arc flash, short-circuit).
• Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and electrical analysis tools like SKM or EasyPower.
• Certifications: E.I.T. or P.E. registration (preferred but not required).
