This role offers opportunities in hardware, systems, firmware, and compliance teams for associate engineers. Responsibilities include working in a fast-paced lab environment, developing board-level designs, test design, fault diagnosis, debugging, and problem-solving. Engineers will work on firmware, hardware, test automation, product validation, compliance, custom ASICs, and advanced power electronics. The role also involves assisting in the development of new products through their lifecycle, including specifying, designing, verifying, and debugging complex circuits, as well as performing performance tests.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Software, or Computer System Engineering
  • Passion for renewable energy, product design, and development

Various Associate Engineer roles will be available on our hardware, systems, firmware, and compliance teams. 
 
Enphase is seeking Associate Engineers who are motivated, self-driven graduates who have majored in electrical/electronics, mechanical, software or computer system engineering. The right candidates will be passionate about renewable energy, product design and development.

What you can expect in your role:
  • You will be part of a team working in a fast-paced, well equipped lab environment developing and testing micro-inverter products.
  • You will develop your skills in board level designs, test design, fault diagnosis, debugging and problem solving.
  • You will touch firmware, hardware, test automation, product validation, compliance, custom ASICs and advanced power electronics.
  • Assist/ support the development of new products and variants through the product lifecycle:
    • Learn and support the Hardware Engineering teams on specify, design, verify and debug complex circuits for our inverters and ancillaries
    • Performance test products and sub-systems
    • Grow and increase your knowledge and work your way to become a subject matter expert

About the Christchurch team
 
The Enphase Energy New Zealand facilities are in Middleton and Wigram, Christchurch.  These are Research and Development Centers focused on the design and testing of our cornerstone product, the Microinverter. Enphase New Zealand has a team of around 120+ engineers and support staff. We also work closely with our Research and Development colleagues in California, Texas and Bangalore.
 
All offers of employment are subject to standard background testing required by Enphase Energy.
