AECOM's Resources + Industry (R+I) business line offers services spanning the entire project lifecycle, from concept to decommissioning. They are seeking Electrical Engineering professionals for contracting opportunities in their Australian offices (Brisbane, Mackay, South Townsville, Newcastle, Adelaide). The role involves working with clients in greenfield and brownfield mining and minerals processing, supporting net-zero emission goals. Successful candidates will be technical experts within a Tier 1 Engineering Consultancy, collaborating with leading technical experts. The role emphasizes working in a dynamic environment that champions integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and a pioneering mindset, fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Must have:
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in consultancy or mining/processing facility
  • Design and specification experience for mining plant
  • Strong communication skills
  • Project delivery experience with commercial acumen

Job Description

At AECOM, the ‘Resources + Industry (R+I)’ business line offers services that span the entire project life cycle. From concept to detailed design, engineering and project management for execution and commissioning phases, as well as decommissioning and closure of existing operations.

Our broad global and collaborative approach assists the industry as it faces new challenges in greenfield and brownfield mining and minerals processing, and we are supporting our clients on their journey to achieving net zero emissions.

In our ANZ offices (Brisbane, Mackay, South Townsville, Newcastle, Adelaide), we are welcoming 'expresisons of interest' for Electrical Engineering professionals who prefer contracting opportunities, either on a casual or medium to long-term basis.

We are looking for technical experts confident to bring your skills and experience to a world renowned, Tier 1 Engineering Consultancy.

Led by collaborative leaders, you will be working with world leading technical experts who are passionate and creative and proud to be part of a company that is dedicated to delivering a better world.

What are we looking for from you?

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with experience for a consultancy or an operating mining processing facility
  • Experience in the design and specification of mining plant, infrastructure, materials handling and fluids handling systems and equipment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills 
  • Experience in delivering successful project outcomes from initiation to execution demonstrating commercial acumen throughout
