Xpan's Instructional Designers are integral to a learning team, crafting high-quality digital learning content. They focus on developing curriculum that aligns with adult learning principles, ensuring a consistent voice and adherence to style guides. Their responsibilities include updating, maintaining, designing, and developing educational tools and materials, interacting with multimedia specialists, and contributing to graphical and eLearning material development. They collaborate with project managers, clients, and other team members to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery. They also identify and contribute to effective problem-solving solutions and ensure a consistently high standard of client service.
Must have:
  • Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or similar fields.
  • Five years of experience in learning, communications, or multimedia.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
  • Knowledge of eLearning course design and development methodologies.
  • Experience in implementing web-based enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Summary 
Xpan’s Instructional Designers are part of a learning team developing quality content for digital learning applications. We focus on developing curriculum that adheres to the core principles of adult learning, ensuring the Knowledge Experience adheres to approved style guides, and is presented with one voice. Our instructional designers are responsible for updating, maintaining, designing, and developing educational tools, templates, and demonstrations. This role interacts with other multimedia specialists and may be required to help with additional development of graphical and eLearning education materials.

Here's What You’ll Do
  • Write, design, repurpose, edit, and proof curriculum and content for different reading levels, styles/voice, and target audience.
  • Contribute to the development of eLearning templates, storyboards, and wireframe designs, by planning learning activities and interactivities.
  • Assist in the development of blended eLearning solutions.
  • Assist others as needed in the design and development of education-based projects.
  • Ensure that completed eLearning deliverables meet Xpan quality standards.
  • Work seamlessly within a larger team, including multimedia developers, and 3D artists to ensure the integration of diverse expertise.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Identify project risks and contribute to effective problem-solving solutions.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to understand their learning needs and provide expert guidance.
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of client service.

Here’s What You Need
  • Certificate or Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Technical Communication, or similar.
  • At least five years of experience in the learning, communications, or multimedia fields.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of design and development methodologies for eLearning courses, simulations, and demos.
  • Experience in implementing web-based enterprise solutions (LMS, LCMS knowledge a plus).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
