Job Description

Valeo Wiper Systems in Skawina specializes in the production of advanced wiper systems for vehicles, including blades and innovative brushless motors. The process covers design, production, and assembly, utilizing advanced machinery. A competence center within the company supports other Valeo locations globally, with R&D experts developing new automotive products and technologies. This internship in the R&D Projects Department involves 3D component design in CATIA V5, optimization, engineering software use, documentation management, and collaboration on design changes and technical offers for clients. Additionally, the role supports R&D Engineers with testing, prototyping, and technical documentation.
Must have:
  • Designing 3D components and wiper systems in CATIA V5.
  • Optimizing components for quality, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Working with Valeo engineering software (CAE).
  • Managing 2D and 3D documentation in PLM system.
  • Collaborating with the design team on structural changes.
  • Co-creating technical parts of client offers.
  • Assisting R&D Engineers with simple development tasks.
  • Ordering and supervising tests.
  • Ordering and supervising prototype creation.
  • Collaborating with design and other departments.
  • Creating and updating technical documentation.

  • Student or graduate status, preferred engineering fields related to mechanics, mechatronics, electronics and related
  • CATIA proficiency

At Valeo Wiper Systems in Skawina, we specialize in the production of advanced wiper systems for vehicles. Our specialization includes the production of blades and innovative brushless motors, which are an integral part of our products. The process begins from the design phase through production, up to the assembly process. We use technologically advanced machines and equipment that support our processes. Additionally, within our company, there is a competence center that provides substantive support for other Valeo locations worldwide. In our R&D center, we employ experts who actively work on the development of new products and technologies for the automotive sector.

Currently, for our Wiper Systems Production Plant in Skawina, we are recruiting for the position of Intern in the R&D Projects Department.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • 3D design of components and wiper systems for cars in CATIA V5 in accordance with client specifications and Valeo principles (components, assemblies, kinematics, assemblability, tolerance analyses)
  • Optimization of components in terms of quality (strength, static tolerance chains), manufacturability, and cost;
  • Working with Valeo engineering software (CAE);
  • Managing 2D and 3D documentation in the PLM system;
  • Cooperation with the design team regarding structural changes at every stage of the product life cycle;
  • Co-creating the technical part of offers for clients;

JOIN OUR TEAM IF YOU HAVE:

  • Current second-cycle student / graduate of first or second-cycle studies
  • English language proficiency
  • MS Office software proficiency;
  • CAD software proficiency (CATIA preferred)
  • Developed communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work in a team and under time pressure;
  • Availability at least 3 days a week

  • Creating and updating technical documentation

  • Student or graduate status, preferred engineering fields related to mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, and related
  • Knowledge of technical drawing
  • Communicative English language proficiency
  • Availability at least 3 days a week (Monday - Friday, 3/5 full-time equivalent, approx. 96 hours per month)
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs etc.) and/or MS Office
