The Merchandise Presentation Specialist at Disney Consumer Products is responsible for the day-to-day merchandising of multiple locations. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining presentation standards (product placement, adjacencies, photo documentation, and windows), assisting in floor set implementations, participating in creative processes for location interiors and window displays, and communicating with key partners. The role also involves managing delivery schedules, organizing company assets, providing training to operations partners, and prioritizing multiple projects based on business needs. The ideal candidate will possess 2+ years of retail and visual merchandising experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

The Merchandise Presentation Specialist will assist in the day-to-day accountabilities for assigned locations, including merchandising multiple locations, leading projects, events, and teams

You will report to the Area Manager- Merchandise Presentation

This is a Full-Time role.

What You Will Do

Every day as a Merchandise Presentation Specialist is different! On any one day you might:

  • Prioritize tasks and understand key performance indicators of the business to make sound business decisions

  • Maintain current project/day-to-day floor set schedule, window installations, signage roll-out, and store development calendar

  • Meet timelines and tasks based on strategic plans and daily needs of the business.

  • Implement and maintain Merchandise Presentation Standards (product placement, adjacencies, photo documentation and windows)

  • Assist in the implementation of key merchandise initiative floor sets and propping including attending all floor sets

  • Participate in the creative process to determine the approach to location interiors and window creative

  • Timely communication with key partners (Location Strategy teams, Operations teams, and vendors) daily or weekly based on business needs (merchandise entry/exit logistics) in addition to the prioritization of calendar events.

  • Attend location walks to support planning and merchandising standards.

  • Maintains Merchandise Presentation shop, events, or projects by organizing company assets (hardware, fixtures, offsite storage.)

  • Provide Visual Merchandising Training to Operations Partners, maintaining standards and guidelines

  • Establish and handle all delivery schedules

  • Work independently with a moderate level of direction

  • Provide informal guidance to new team members

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years of Retail and Visual Merchandising experience and business knowledge of retail operations

  • Effective communication and ability to engage with all levels and partners within the business.

  • Exhibit and maintain a consistent and high-quality work ethic

  • Self-motivated, with a commitment to succeed

  • Positive demeanor and the spirit of working in a team environment

  • Knowledge of fixture suites and hardware packages

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects

  • Proven computer proficiency, including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to create and implement planograms

  • Ability to push, pull and lift 50 lbs, traverse up and down ladders, and crawl into small spaces

  • Must have a driver's license and be able to travel locally
