Trackman is seeking a Product Manager to own and lead its Practice products for baseball and softball. The B1, our marquee practice unit, has revolutionized the way players train. We work with every MLB team, multiple international pro leagues, hundreds of colleges, and all of the top amateur tournaments and facilities. Job Description:
The Product Manager – Practice will craft compelling roadmaps and drive new features to market, while being deeply in touch with customer sentiment to ensure continued high satisfaction. You’ll work closely with every internal department that contributes to the success of your product.
Most importantly, you’ll be the ultimate subject matter expert on the customers and markets that your product serves. You’ll be the voice of the customer internally, ensuring that product decisions align with customer expectations. You’ll be a product evangelist in every context, helping build awareness, excitement, and adoption among customers, partners, and employees
Specific Responsibilities
Engage with customers to understand needs and pain points.
Stay current on industry trends through research and events.
Analyze market opportunities by combining customer insights and industry knowledge.
Collaborate with the Head of Product to define product vision and roadmap.
Define and refine feature requirements; work cross-functionally to develop, test, and launch features.
Monitor product performance, resolve issues, and ensure product quality.
Prepare product strategy documents, including feature proposals and business cases.
Plan roadmaps with clear timelines and feature prioritization.
Collaborate across teams (R&D, UI/UX, Sales, Support) to align and execute.
Lead go-to-market efforts by creating marketing, sales, and support materials.
Track KPIs to measure success and guide decisions.
Manage the product lifecycle to maintain relevance and performance.
Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders and, when needed, customers.
Identify and mitigate product risks.
Manage product releases and ensure readiness across teams.
Oversee project execution, including documentation, timelines, and coordination.
Other
Travel required, ~6-8 weeks per year. Includes visits to main Trackman offices (including HQ in Denmark), time spent in the field with customers, and traveling to relevant conventions.
Role will begin with no direct reports, but will eventually have at least one.
5+ years as a Product Manager for technology-based products.
Comfortability presenting in-person, selling internally to executives and colleagues, and externally to key customers.
Demonstrable strong understanding in one or more of the following areas:
Radar technology, computer vision, physics, mathematics, and/or data analysis.
Passionate about baseball, especially when it intersects with technology and analysis.
Preferably:
Product management experience with:
Combined hardware and software products.
Mobile applications, especially involving UI design decision-making.
Professional, educational, or personal experience working with baseball data in an analytics and/or training capacity.
Played some level of competitive baseball (high school and above).
