As a senior member of our Global Risk & Response team, you’ll work cross-functionally to surface regional risks, support critical escalations, advise on policy localization, and shape proactive safety strategies. You'll play a crucial role in protecting Hinge users throughout Latin America while ensuring our safety work remains principled, equitable, and locally informed.
Responsibilities
- Partner with our Global Escalations team to manage responses for high-severity or complex escalations across LATAM, providing regional, cultural, legal, and linguistic expertise.
- Partner with Operations teams to advise on regionally nuanced moderation decisions, precedent-setting cases, and cross-functional reviews.
- Support and contribute to deep-dive investigations into regional harms, synthesizing findings into actionable insights for the broader team.
- Monitor and evaluate emerging risks across Latin America, providing critical input to global risk assessments and shaping regional safety strategies.
- Act as a regional advisor to key teams by providing localized insights, escalation support, and guidance on policy application.
- Support the localization and evolution of Trust & Safety policies and enforcement frameworks specific to LATAM needs.
- Advise on risk considerations and program manage market expansion initiatives across the region.
- Represent Hinge in partnerships with NGOs, civil society organizations, and other external stakeholders across LATAM.
- Partner with Trust & Safety Communications and Education teams to support proactive user education initiatives, regional narratives, and incident response communications.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years in Trust & Safety, platform integrity, partnerships, public policy, or online safety—ideally within a technology company.
- Deep knowledge of the cultural, political, and legal landscapes across Latin America, with a strong understanding of regional diversity beyond Brazil.
- Experience leading or supporting investigations, risk assessments, or escalations that informed cross-functional decisions.
- Ability to synthesize complex regional risks into clear, actionable strategies.
- Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
- Strong presentation skills in both small and large group settings.
- Experience in program management.
- Skilled at operating with autonomy, influencing without formal authority, and building trust across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with NGOs, civil society organizations, or external partners on digital safety, user protection, or integrity issues.
- Familiarity with the regulatory landscape across LATAM and its impact on digital platforms.
- Background in partnerships, public policy, law, journalism, or risk/crisis management.
- Understanding of regional online harms related to dating, scams, and identity-based risks.
- Experience working with or supporting LATAM markets at a global technology company.
R$208.000 - R$250.000 a year
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Brazil. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific location), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
