Job Description

As a Retainer Dance Level Designer at Ubisoft, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality dance game maps within deadlines. Your key responsibilities include tweaking and testing song scoring for fairness and balance, providing feedback on other designers' work, capturing high-quality dance moves for scoring, ensuring consistent work quality, judging scoring feedback, mastering song choreography, troubleshooting, and collaborating effectively with teams. Excellent dancing skills, judgment, and communication are crucial. The role requires perfect execution of in-game dance moves and the ability to work autonomously and under pressure.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:- 

Retainer Dance Level Designer should have high judgmental skills and good dancing skills. Should be able to test the game with different energy levels and type of dancing to make sure the scoring feedback is fair as well as perform the exact dance moves to give captures when needed. Excellent communication skills will be important. 

 

Job Responsibilities:- 

  • Be responsible for assigned maps’ delivery with quality in the assigned time. 
  • Tweaking and testing the song with different test cases and taking a call on the accuracy of scoring so that the scoring is fair and balanced. 
  • Playtest the songs of other LDs and give them feedback. 
  • Be able to give high quality captures by performing the exact dance moves, which would be used for scoring. 
  • Ensure that the quality of work is always maintained no matter whatever the situation. 
  • Judging Good vs Bad scoring feedback. 
  • Learning the choreography of the received songs perfectly. 
  • Be able to Capture their own takes when required to add in the game while tweaking scoring. 
  • Performing basic troubleshooting for any issues faced during the entire score level designing process. 
  • Communicating efficiently with local and collaborating teams. 
  • Be available to rush if needed. 
  • Ensure that the quality of work is always maintained no matter whatever the situation. 

 

Job Requirement:- 

  • Should be passionate for dancing and possess good dancing skills. 
  • Should be technically sound, be able to easily work with basic PC softwares like Microsoft office, teams etc. 
  • High level of concentration and judging skills. 
  • Technically strong and spontaneous in handling minor issues. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (to motivate and interact with the dancers, play testers and collaborating studio team members.) 
  • Sound knowledge of different dance styles is a plus. 
  • Should be able to perform the dance moves present in-game perfectly. 
  • Motivated to work under pressure. 
  • Should be able to work autonomously once trained. 
  • Should be creative. 
  • Have a positive can-do attitude. 
  • Gaming interest is a plus. 
  • Should be a quick learner and able to do multitasking. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS
