The Sales Manager, Large Customer Solutions, at Google, is responsible for achieving business goals and sales metrics. This role involves managing and motivating a high-performing team of client-facing Googlers, coaching them on business expansion, implementation, and measurement to meet quarterly goals. The ideal candidate will identify areas for process improvement, share best practices, analyze data and trends, develop strategic customer plans, and coach the team through complex client engagements. Responsibilities also include ensuring regional plans are in place and embedding an engaged mindset within the team. The position requires significant experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, and team leadership, along with strong analytical and communication skills. The role focuses on developing and implementing digital solutions for Google's largest clients.
Must have:
  • 8 years experience in digital advertising or related field
  • Leadership experience in quota-carrying teams
  • Client relationship management expertise
  • Data analysis and strategic planning skills
  • Achieving sales goals and metrics
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in business or related field
  • 4 years managing digital marketing campaigns
  • Fluency in German

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, digital media sales, business development, online media environment, or digital marketing role, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working with advertisers, agencies, or clients.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a quota-carrying team, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience managing digital marketing/advertising campaigns, and managing relationships with clients, customers, or agencies.
  • Ability to communicate German fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against assigned business goals and overall sales metrics. Manage, inspire and motivate a team of client-facing and high-performing Googlers.
  • Coach on expansion business, implementation and measurement to ensure that quarterly goals are met by ensuring that key plans are in place and recovery plans are implemented as needed.
  • Identify process improvement areas and solutions, share and encourage best practices across both local and in-country Large Customer Sales teams.
  • Analyze data, trends, and client performance; develop robust strategic plans for customers. Ensure that quarterly regional plans and long-term regional business plans are in place.
  • Coach the team through complex client tests to deliver commercial outcomes. Embed an engaged mindset in the team.
