10 Chambers is a fully funded scale-up game studio backed by Tencent and based in the beautiful city of Stockholm, Sweden. We are an ambitious, creative, and collaborative team with a lifelong love for games.

We are now working on our next project, a cooperative heist FPS in a techno-thriller setting - Den of Wolves. Originated and directed by Ulf Andersson, the game designer of Payday 1 & 2.

As a Senior Build Engineer at 10 Chambers AB, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our game builds. You will work closely with developers, QA, and IT to maintain and improve our build pipeline, automation systems, and deployment processes.

Example of responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain an efficient build and deployment pipeline for our games.
  • Monitor and maintain the build pipeline to ensure it is reliable, efficient, and optimized for speed, resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  • Track and report on build pipeline performance metrics, and work proactively to improve build times, success rates, and stability.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks in the build pipeline and work to eliminate them to ensure a scalable and efficient system.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the full CI/CD pipeline, automating repetitive tasks to ensure smooth integration, automated testing, and consistent deployment across all environments.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate new features, tools, and systems into the build process and provide support for build-related tasks.
  • Work with IT to manage and maintain build servers, cloud environments, and other infrastructure components.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a Build Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role in the games industry.
  • Strong knowledge of build systems, automation tools, and version control systems (e.g. Perforce, TeamCity, Jenkins, Git,).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Team player and problem solver
  • Efficient time and self-organization skills
  • Excellent command of English (Swedish is not a requirement)

Bonus Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in bug tracking software (e.g. JIRA), with experience in configuring and using bug tracking tools to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Programming experience in C#, especially in the context of build tools or game engine integration, to support custom scripting or tooling enhancements within the pipeline.
