The Senior Research Manager at Newzoo leads and manages all aspects of research projects, from methodology and questionnaire design to reporting and client presentations. This role requires strong client relationship skills, expertise in quantitative research, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include building client proposals, overseeing supplier relationships, mentoring junior team members, and staying updated on industry trends. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of market research experience, a passion for gaming, and excellent communication skills. They must be proficient in MS Office Suite and analysis software, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and exceeding expectations.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Lead and/or manage all aspects of research projects, including determining the appropriate methodology, crafting questionnaires, reporting, storytelling, and delivering live presentations to clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, actively engaging with them throughout the project lifecycle and beyond to ensure satisfaction and ongoing collaboration
  • Ensure projects meet both organizational goals and exceed client expectations, maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction
  • Lead the creation of compelling client proposals, aligning them with client goals and emphasizing Newzoo’s unique value proposition. Confidently pitch these proposals during client calls with minimal support from senior team members
  • Oversee supplier relationships and communications throughout each project, ensuring high-quality results and smooth operations
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on project management strategy, storytelling, and client service
  • Keep up-to-date on gaming & market research industry trends

 

Your profile

  • 5+ years of experience in market research, with a focus on quantitative research (qualitative experience is a plus).
  • Client-service driven, with a passion for building long-term relationships and ensuring clients are continuously satisfied and feel valued.
  • Proven expertise in leading and executing quantitative research projects from start to finish, including research design, questionnaire writing, reporting, and client presentations.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results while maintaining a keen focus on client satisfaction.
  • Exceptional client communication skills—comfortable leading client meetings, presenting results, and ensuring clients’ needs and expectations are met throughout the project.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and a strong knowledge of analysis software (e.g., Q, Askia, SPSS), with a willingness to master new tools such as Q.
  • Flawless written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills that ensure projects stay on track and clients stay informed.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with the ability to adapt to changing client needs.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can guide and support others in client management practices.
  • Passion for gaming and a strong knowledge of the gaming industry (or willingness to learn) is a must.
