The Senior SEO Content Writer will be part of an onsite content planning team. They will manage all SEO activities, including content strategy, link building, and keyword strategy to increase rankings on search networks. This role involves working closely with the Creative Team and client brand teams, central marketing teams, and client agency partners. The writer will be responsible for crafting stories, writing SEO optimized content, and researching keywords. They will also be expected to collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver an increase in organic traffic and engagement.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO.
  • Writing and optimizing content for SEO.
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms.
  • Knowledge of keyword research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with other aspects of marketing.
  • Experience with content strategy.
  • Familiarity with WordPress.

Job Title: Senior SEO Content Writer

Role: Freelancer (1-2 months)

Location: Manila, Philippines

 

About the role:

We are looking for a SEO writer to be part of a dynamic onsite content planning team. The person must be confident in all things content and passionate about the world of FMCG.

You are someone who lives and breathes digital and has your finger on the pulse of the latest and emerging behaviors around social, e-commerce and content and which brands are leading the way in the FMCG space.

This is a new role within our team and will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search network our brands.

The SEO Content Writer will work closely with the Creative Team. This is a client facing role, where you will be expected to be comfortable working closely with client brand team, central marketing teams and client agency partners.

What you will be doing:

  • You'll be responsible for crafting stories that drive traffic to our website. A wide- ranging interest in business technologies is a plus.
  • Conceive and write SEO optimized content, white papers, and outlines for video scripts.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to learn about our audience and create content that they'll find interesting.
  • Help deliver a measurable increase in organic traffic and engagement for our site and social channels.
  • Find and develop expert sources within our company and externally and leverage them to create content that's both informative and entertaining.
  • Produce high quality and exhaustive content on a broad range of topics.
  • Develop optimization strategies that increase the client’s search engine results rankings
  • Research SEO keywords to use throughout the client's website and marketing materials
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
  • Efficiently communicate with Energy Studios Team and any other client’s partner like media agency to align goals
  • Collaborate with other function teams within the client’s marketing department to manage SEO strategy
  • Write compelling and high-quality website content, including blog posts and page descriptions to support the creative team in content creation
  • Update content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 3+ years of experience of experience with SEO industry programs, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Writing compelling content, & optimizing content for SEO, which includes writing SEO optimized titles, headers, images, and meta tags.
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
  • Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
  • Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (email, phone, etc.)
  • Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data on a daily basis
  • Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems
  • Experience with other aspects of marketing, such as customer growth and promotion, is a plus
  • Experience with content strategy and/or planning is a plus.
  • Confidence and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing client environment
  • Desire to learn and continuously improve
  • Able to develop and maintain strong and effective professional relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player, open minded – non political.
  • Can break down complicated topics into easily digestible content.
  • Are optimistic, energetic, and excel in group project settings.
  • Have a keen storytelling eye.
  • Have exceptional communication, prioritization, and project management skills.
  • Have outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Multiple years of experience in a digital content creation role.
  • Persuasive writing skills with a portfolio of work.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead creative teams.
  • Proven ability to communicate and liaise with all levels in the business.
  • Discrete about all confidential and personal information.
  • Driven, proactive, helpful, and enthusiastic team player.

  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
