As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you'll be responsible for the growth, reliability, efficiency, security, performance, and overall health of the end-to-end network that supports all Meta products and services. You'll work closely with engineering and other cross-functional teams to understand the problem space and domain in depth, create roadmaps, prioritize based on impact, and drive them through to completion. You'll need a strong backbone and edge networking background, an overarching understanding of the end-to-end network architecture, and a proven track record in taking on and going deep in new technical domains. You'll be extremely comfortable working with ambiguity and autonomy, and you'll have a passion for solving some of the most challenging networking problems in the industry.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of software/systems/hardware engineering or technical product/program management experience
  • Experience managing technical network engineering programs or products
  • Experience gathering user needs, requirements, and defining large scale program scope
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams & global regions, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership
  • Experience working with technical leadership to develop systems, solutions, and products
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners
Good to have:
  • 5+ years of network infrastructure engineering or network infrastructure technical product/program management experience
  • Experience across IP/ Optical Networking platforms
  • Experience in managing software development programs

Technical Program Manager, Net Infra (Backbone) Responsibilities
  • We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with experience in large-scale network infrastructure to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in evolving and enhancing the global network that supports all Meta products and services. They will be responsible for ensuring the growth, reliability, efficiency, security, performance, and overall health of the end-to-end network. The TPM will work closely with engineering and other cross-functional teams to understand the problem space and domain in depth, create roadmaps, prioritize based on impact, and drive them through to completion. They will have a strong backbone and edge networking background, with an overarching understanding of the end-to-end network architecture and a proven track record in taking on and going deep in new technical domains. The ideal candidate will be extremely comfortable working with ambiguity and autonomy, and will have a passion for solving some of the most challenging networking problems in the industry. Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Network Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
  • Experience managing technical network engineering programs or products from inception to implementation.
  • Experience of gathering user needs, requirements, and defining large scale program scope accordingly.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams & global regions, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Experience working with technical leadership to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of network infrastructure engineering or network infrastructure technical product/program management experience.
  • Experience across IP/ Optical Networking platforms.
  • Experience in managing software development programs.
