The San Francisco Studio is seeking a Training Coordinator to support the training and education needs of employees by acting as a liaison for trainees, the global Studio Talent Group, and artist management. This hybrid role involves coordinating administrative duties, scheduling training sessions, assisting with new hire orientation and tech preparation, updating the Studio Talent Group website, and maintaining training databases. The coordinator will also support enrichment training programs, special projects, and junior talent programs, including internships and apprenticeships, in partnership with the compliance team.
Must have:

Job Description:

Our San Francisco Studio is seeking a Training Coordinator to join the team!

The Training Coordinator's primary emphasis is working with the global Studio Talent Group and Artist Management to support the training and education needs of employees.  Services as a liaison and resources for trainees globally, local training team and coordination of all training needs.

This role is considered Hybrid, which means the employee will work onsite in our San Francisco office and occasionally from home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and performs general administrative and support duties for the Studio Talent Group, including working with the Global STG teams to schedule courses and course attendees; scheduling conference rooms, classrooms, and theaters; and maintaining records of training requests.

  • Serves as a liaison between trainees and the training staff, observing and communicating training needs and feedback to STG Leadership.

  • Member of the HR New Hire Orientation team, delivering orientation on a regular basis to new hires.

  • Prepares and orients new hires to the tech environment.  Works with Artist Managers, trainers and mentors to establish training schedules for new hires.

  • Updates the Studio Talent Group website as needed.

  • Sends out weekly training updates to Studio Talent Group alias.

  • Maintains training class database and calendar making sure all courses and events are entered and accounted for.  Assists in the creation of reports and schedules for managers and department personnel.

  • Coordinates Enrichment training programming, scheduling sculpting and drawing classes as well as other artistic classes.

  • Assists with special projects as needed, including preparations for such events as the Speaker Series, Weeklies, and Disgraph.  

  • Supports The Jedi Academy junior talent programs including Internships and Apprenticeships, as needed.

  • Coordinates Compliance Training tasks in partnership with the Compliance team at The Walt Disney Company.

Here are the skills and experience you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred

  • 2+ years of experience as a Coordinator working in a fast-paced environment, ideally production and/or training

  • Experience within film production/post production and computer graphics preferred

  • Exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with diverse personalities

  • Keen eye for detail, highly proactive and able to remain calm under pressure

  • Strong proficiency in G-Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Experienced in coordinating events, projects, or large groups of people

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $47,900- $61,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
