Accessibility Engineer

We’re hiring a Digital Accessibility Engineer to support the Engineering team at a major healthcare firm. This is a fully remote, 6+ month contract opportunity based in the U.S. (EST hours).

In this role, you’ll help ensure the accessibility of digital experiences across native mobile and web platforms. While this is not a hands-on development role, a strong understanding of front-end technologies is essential. You’ll independently execute test cases, identify issues, and report defects—playing a key role in improving usability for all users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute accessibility test cases independently and proactively

• Conduct manual accessibility testing across digital platforms

• Identify and report accessibility defects clearly and accurately

• Collaborate with the team to ensure web and mobile experiences meet accessibility standards

• Utilize your technical knowledge of front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to evaluate accessibility issues

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience conducting manual accessibility testing

• 2–4 years of front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Experience using screen readers across Windows, iOS, and Android platforms

• Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of accessibility standards

Eligibility requires working 30+ hours per week and an assignment length of at least 10 weeks.
