Tesla seeks an Account Manager for residential energy storage sales in Southern Germany, focusing on B2B sales of Powerwall and small commercial energy products. Responsibilities include developing and expanding a customer network (third-party PV installers), proactively identifying business opportunities, achieving ambitious sales growth targets, managing partner accounts, ensuring financial order, building internal relationships, providing product feedback, evaluating new business opportunities, providing market insights, and forecasting sales. The role also involves representing Tesla at events, improving partner training and installation quality, and providing user feedback. Requires 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience with solar power or energy storage technology in the DACH region.

What to Expect

Tesla is looking for an Account Manager for residential energy storage sales in Germany. Your primary focus will be B2B sales of Tesla's residential and small commercial energy products in Southern Germany, where you'll develop, sustain, and expand a network of customers, including third-party PV installers. You’ll also proactively pursue business development opportunities in your region.

In this versatile role, you’ll need an understanding of energy storage products and market dynamics, along with excellent communication skills. Our team is highly collaborative, creative, and driven by a shared passion for innovation in an ever-evolving technology and market landscape.

Work location: Bavaria, preferably Southern Bavaria

What You’ll Do
  • Achieve ambitious growth plans for Powerwall sales within assigned channels
  • Develop and maintain highly productive partner accounts
  • Proactively identify opportunities to close gap to target and/or grow volume sales within assigned channel
  • Provide input on the development of dedicated marketing/sales material needed for accounts success
  • Identify new partners and close sales contracts
  • Ensure accounts’ finances are in order and support partner growth
  • Build and maintain relationships across the organization of partner accounts; convey Tesla product and feature roadmap
  • Anticipate product or offering needs from partner accounts
  • Provide product feedback to technical team regarding fit and applicability of product design and offering
  • Evaluate new business opportunities with current and new accounts and/or sales channels, identify suitable product offerings, and take ownership of capturing these opportunities
  • Provide key market insights into broader business team
  • Provide high fidelity sales forecasts to business and manufacturing teams, including an up to date bottoms up forecast of individual account performance versus forecast for key accounts
  • Support evaluating market dynamics across sectors (utility, commercial & industrial, residential, etc.) and drivers (policy/regulatory, economics, etc.) 
  • Represent Tesla at sales and marketing events promoting Powerwall products
  • Help identify and support implementation of initiatives to maintain or improve partner training, partner installation quality, and to improve Tesla operations and fulfilment and Tesla support
  • Provide user / customer feedback to IT development teams regarding Tesla tools, systems and to Operations regarding processes
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in B2B Sales or Business Development
  • Experience with solar power or energy storage technology for residential and small commercial markets in the DACH region
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Fluency in German and English
