CD PROJEKT RED seeks an Audio Programmer to collaborate with their ambitious audio team. Responsibilities include integrating a shared audio solution across projects (Witcher, Cyberpunk, and beyond), designing and developing novel audio features tailored to diverse gameplay and environments, maintaining and optimizing existing systems on Red Engine and Unreal Engine, supporting sound designers in audio implementation, and coordinating with various departments for seamless audio integration. The ideal candidate possesses at least 3 years of game industry coding experience, a passion for game development and audio, strong teamwork skills, and proficiency in C++ and code system design.

Job Description

We're looking for an Audio Programmer to join our award-winning studio. In this position you will work with our ambitious audio team to craft new systems and technologies and make great sounding games across our full suite of projects. As an Audio Programmer at CD PROJEKT RED you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and highly creative environment and have a direct impact on the sound and development of critically acclaimed AAA video games.

Daily responsibilities

  • Working with all our projects to integrate our shared audio solution.
  • Designing and developing novel audio features and customizing them to suit the different gameplay, stories, and environments of games ranging from Witcher to Cyberpunk, and beyond.
  • Maintaining, improving, and optimizing existing systems on Red Engine and Unreal Engine to ensure performance and functionality.
  • Supporting the sound designers in implementing audio.
  • Coordinating with many departments to facilitate and promote audio integration in other areas of the game.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years coding experience in the game industry.
  • Passionate about game development and interested in the potential for audio in games.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a desire to work closely with the sound designers.
  • Ability to comprehend unfamiliar code and work across many systems in the code base.
  • Skilled in C++ and designing code systems.

Nice to have

  • Shipped a AAA title.
  • Experience on consoles.
