Advanced Systems Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Audio & Visual Technical Supervisor to lead on-site AV operations for corporate events, high-profile meetings, and live streams. This role involves hands-on technical execution, team leadership, vendor coordination, and system maintenance to ensure seamless AV experiences. Responsibilities include leading and operating AV systems for live events, setting up and managing AV equipment, providing end-to-end event support, monitoring AV feeds, and operating streaming platforms. The role also requires supervising AV technicians, training junior staff, maintaining AV equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate AV environments and executive communications, with advanced knowledge of video, lighting, audio, communication systems, and streaming software.

We are looking for:

Advanced Systems Group LLC is seeking an experienced Audio & Visual Technical Supervisor to lead on-site AV operations for corporate events, high-profile meetings, and live streams at our client’s headquarters. This role combines hands-on technical execution with team leadership, vendor coordination, and system maintenance to ensure seamless AV experiences across event spaces and conference rooms.

Responsibilities:

Technical Operations & Event Support
  • Lead and operate AV systems for live events, executive meetings, and corporate communications.
  • Set up and manage microphones, speakers, displays, projectors, and video conferencing tools for indoor/outdoor events.
  • Provide end-to-end event support—from pre-event setup and testing to live execution and teardown.
  • Monitor and adjust audio/video feeds for optimal performance and quality.
  • Operate and support video switchers, routers, and streaming platforms as needed.
Team Leadership
  • Act as the senior AV point of contact, managing Flex support staff and vendor technicians.
  • Supervise onsite and remote AV Technicians, ensuring technical readiness and staff coordination.
  • Train and mentor junior AV staff and freelance crew.
System Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Maintain AV equipment in event spaces and executive conference rooms.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and system health checks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Document system issues, fixes, and AV workflows for internal use.
Inventory & Workflow
  • Maintain accurate AV equipment inventory and coordinate repairs or replacements.
  • Archive technical documentation in line with Robinhood and ASG standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of AV operations and SOPs.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in AV technical operations, including team or vendor management.
  • Strong background supporting high-level corporate AV environments and executive communications.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • Video systems
    • Lighting systems
    • Audio systems
    • Communication (intercom) systems
    • Streaming software
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot audio, video, and networked AV systems.
  • Proven ability to lead technical operations in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, especially with executive stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and documentation practices.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience supporting hybrid meetings and remote contributors.
  • Familiarity with control room environments and multi-camera productions.
  • Working knowledge of AV-over-IP, Dante, NDI, or similar technologies.
  • Certifications such as AVIXA CTS, Dante, or Crestron preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

This full-time role offers a salary of $130,000 - $160,0000 annually depending on experience.
