THE ROLE:
ProbablyMonsters is looking for a Build Engineer, Engine (Core Technology) with experience in game build systems and development ecosystems to work on our central technology infrastructure supporting the creation, release, and operation of multiple games .

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Operate and maintain build and automation systems for use by internal studios.
- Work with multiple game teams to identify gaps in pipelines, tools, and workflows.
- Design and implement workflows and tooling to meet the needs of internal customers.
- Investigate, diagnose, and solve problems as they come up.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver solutions at the expected quality level on the required timeline.
- Openly support team members and customers to achieve our collective goals.
- Continually strive to provide a world-class game development ecosystem to our internal teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing large deployments of complex, externally developed software across heterogeneous environments, including containerized platforms and physical and virtual machines.
- Knowledge of or experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience managing a fleet of physical and virtual machines, using tooling to minimize manual setup and maintenance effort.
- Demonstrated success working in a dynamic environment, balancing emergent needs with long-term goals in a sustainable manner.
- A history of supporting those around you through their accomplishments and mistakes.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with Unreal Engine, in particular Unreal Automation Tool, Unreal Build Tool, and BuildGraph.
- Experience with Unreal Engine’s Horde build and automation system.
- Experience with Unreal Engine DDC and Zenserver.
- Experience with Visual Studio, C#, and C++.
- Experience with management automation tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Packer, or Nomad.
- Experience developing and supporting applications that run in a production setting.

Compensation:
- This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
- The full salary range for this position is $95,000 - $138,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay and internal equity.
In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
