Captions is hiring a Business Development, Partnerships Manager to lead and scale partnerships. We’re hiring a Business Development, Partnerships Manager to lead and scale partnerships at Captions. This role will have the opportunity to build our business development function from the ground up and to turn partnerships into a major growth driver for the business. As the Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for expanding our partnerships pipeline, closing high-impact deals, and nurturing strong relationships across the industry. You’ll report directly to our COO and Co-founder, and you’ll collaborate closely with teams across the Company to win and integrate new partnerships.

Responsibilities: 

  • Build and professionalize the partnerships function, transforming it into a strategic business driver for Captions 

  • Manage our partnership pipeline. Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships across a wide range of verticals

  • Develop long-term relationships with partners. Maintain and expand partnerships over time 

  • Ideate and execute creative partnership strategies to increase user acquisition

  • Act as the face of the company with prospective partners, representing Captions in every interaction

  • Handle the partnership process start to finish - from building out partner decks, to negotiating contracts, to tracking and reporting on partner engagement

  • Collaborate with teams across the business to launch partnerships and deliver  seamless partner experiences

  • Monitor the industry landscape, keeping a close watch on competitors, partners, and trends to inform Captions’ strategic roadmap and stay ahead of the market

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a partnerships or GTM role, ideally at a high-growth tech company or startup

    • Prior experience in banking, consulting, or a similar fast-paced role a plus

  • Proven track record of bringing on high-value partners and scaling them over time. Bonus if you have experience establishing member benefits and/or loyalty program partnerships

  • Effective working cross-functionally to bring partnerships to fruition, including with marketing, product and engineering teams

  • Willingness to take on any task, with a strong bias toward action and a creative approach to problem solving 

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; you know how to work with senior executives and internal teams alike

  • Experience analyzing industry trends and customer needs, and building out business development strategy 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while consistently delivering results

Compensation Range: $150K - $220K
