Job Description

As a Creative Art Director at Hogarth, you will be responsible for developing and executing visually compelling design solutions that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives. This role involves generating innovative ideas, creating visual assets for digital, video, social media, and web platforms, and ensuring design consistency. You will manage multiple projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain brand guidelines, all while prioritizing tasks and iterating on designs based on feedback. A strong portfolio and proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma are essential.
Must have:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts and design solutions that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Translate marketing briefs and strategic direction into visually compelling designs.
  • Generate fresh ideas and innovative approaches to design challenges, building upon existing concepts and brand elements.
  • Create mood boards, storyboards, and visual prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of brand identity and best practices.
  • Design and produce high-quality visual assets for various platforms, including:
  • Digital advertising (banner ads, social media ads, email marketing templates)
  • Video content (graphics, animations, title sequences)
  • Social media (posts, stories, profile designs)
  • Website (landing pages, website graphics, UI elements)
  • Create wireframes and prototypes for web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure all designs are consistent with brand guidelines and meet technical specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other designers, marketers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all visual communications.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Be receptive to feedback and willing to iterate on designs based on input.

Requirements

  • Able to create original ideas and build upon previous concepts to develop innovative design solutions.
  • Mastery of design tools and software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Figma, and wireframing tools.
  • Experience designing for digital, video, social media, and web platforms.
  • Proficiency in web and mobile design principles, including UI/UX best practices.
  • Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Figma, and wireframing tools.
  • Possesses a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design or art direction
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Takes ownership of their work and is accountable for results.
  • Dedicated and committed to delivering high-quality work and contributing to the team's success.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively defend and explain design decisions.
