The Editor for Revenue Brew will lead and shape coverage for a publication focused on providing revenue professionals with information. This role involves strategic planning and hands-on execution, including managing the newsletter production, coaching a team of two reporters, generating new product ideas, writing stories, and enforcing editorial guidelines. The editor will also support the optimization of content processes and analyze audience trends. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of top and line-editing experience, experience managing a team of journalists, and strong communication skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines is also crucial.

OVERVIEW
Revenue Brew, a publication dedicated to providing revenue professionals with information to help them make better decisions, is looking for an editor to lead and shape coverage.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role that will allow you to shape the future of this exciting, new publication. If you like the challenge of setting editorial strategy and helping reporters execute on stories, well, we’ve got the gig for you.
Revenue Brew covers all aspects of a revenue org: from account management to sellers, GTM to revenue ops; and all points in between.
As part of Morning Brew Inc’s business-to-business (B2B) editorial team, Revenue Brew sits alongside seven other B2B publications: Marketing Brew, Retail Brew, Tech Brew, HR Brew, Healthcare Brew, CFO Brew and IT Brew.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Revenue Brew newsletter production process, including assigning/approving stories, editing pieces, and writing headlines.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of two reporters.
- Generate, develop, and execute ideas for non-newsletter products and other special editorial projects.
- Write stories if and as needed.
- Enforce Morning Brew Inc.’s editorial guidelines, editing content for high-level substance, Brew tone and voice, and standard copy.
- Support optimization of existing content processes and establish new ones where needed.
- Support analysis of audience trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Interest in the revenue organization, and the kinds of stories that speak to the revenue professional.
- At least 5 years of top and line-editing experience.
- Experience managing a team of journalists.
- Ability to write in the Morning Brew Inc’s style (engaging, informative, clever)
- Flexible worker who is equally motivated by strategic, long-term thinking and hands-on execution.
- Ability to intentionally experiment with, iterate on, and make hard decisions about new product offerings.
- Excellent communication skills with a mindset for collaboration.
- Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
- Understanding of how to leverage multiple platforms (email, social media, etc.) to engage with the target audience.
COMPENSATION $110,000-$115,000 *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.
