This is a unique opportunity for a Software Engineer to work at the intersection of cutting-edge GPU software engineering, SW/HW architecture, and domain expertise to deliver industry-leading solutions on Intel Graphics architecture.
In this role, you will collaborate with leading software development companies, academic institutions, open-source communities, and internal engineering teams to build and optimize GPU use cases on Intel platforms—ensuring peak performance on Intel’s latest and upcoming client platforms (e.g., laptops, PCs, and workstations).
This role is a virtual role and is open to candidates across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with partners to develop, prototype, and optimize GPU-based software solutions.
Work across a wide range of use cases including digital content creation, media consumption, productivity, collaboration, and commercial applications.
Leverage hardware-accelerated GPU compute capabilities. including ML/AI components (CPU/GPU/NPU).
Support software development through all phases: feature definition, project setup, execution, and go-to-market.
Provide technical training, consultation, and hands-on assistance to developers.
Engage with ISV partners and / or open-source projects to offer performance analysis and technical guidance.
Interface with Intel engineering teams to resolve software-related issues and provide feedback to influence future Intel platforms and technologies.
Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to SW/HW architectural evolution.
Essential Duties
Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements or new products.
Align customer product development with Intel’s roadmap.
Ensure top-tier performance of software on Intel platforms.
Conduct workload and performance analysis on Intel and competitive platforms.
Author technical documentation, whitepapers, and training materials.
Contribute to Intel’s product development with technical feedback.
Identify optimization opportunities through benchmarking and testing.
Required:
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience.
Advanced experience in C/C++ and Data Parallel C++.
Strong background in performance profiling, debugging, and graphics application optimization.
Solid understanding of CPU/GPU/SoC/DSP architecture.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Fluent in English (verbal and written).
Preferred:
Experience with CUDA, OpenCL, or other GPGPU APIs.
Familiarity with DirectX, Metal, or other graphics APIs.
Background in Rendering or Raytracing domains.
Strong presentation skills for technical audiences.
Experience with Intel tools: Intel oneAPI, VTune, etc.
Experience managing customer relationships and executing software projects.
Additional language proficiency is a plus.
Work Model for this Role
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
