The Data Platforms division provides tools for managing, accessing, and distributing financial data through various platforms, enabling users to access LSEG's and third-party data in real-time, delayed, or historical formats.
Must have:
  • Lead ETL design, development, and maintenance using SSIS.
  • Architect, implement, and optimize data warehouse solutions.
  • Oversee complex SQL development and performance tuning.
  • Mentor data engineering team and conduct code reviews.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Develop C# applications and scripts for data integration.
  • Enforce data engineering best practices and standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows.
  • Stay current with data engineering trends.
Good to have:
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server 2016 and above (T-SQL, performance tuning, security).
  • Proven expertise in data warehousing concepts and architecture.
  • Intermediate to advanced C# programming skills (.NET Framework/Core).
  • Strong experience with data modeling and ETL best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.

Data Platforms is an exciting collective of teams spanning product and engineering teams. LSEG Data Platforms provides a range of tools and solutions for managing, accessing, and distributing financial data. They offer various platforms, including the LSEG Data Platform, LSEG DataScope Select, and LSEG DataScope Warehouse. These platforms enable users to access both LSEG's own data and third-party data, with options for real-time, delayed, and historical data delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes using SSIS.
  • Architect, implement, and optimize data warehouse solutions to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Oversee and review complex SQL development, including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning on SQL Server 2016 and above.
  • Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, providing technical leadership and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and other operations teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across all data platforms.
  • Develop and maintain C# applications and scripts to support data integration and automation.
  • Establish and enforce data engineering best practices, standards, and documentation.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server 2016 and above (T-SQL, performance tuning, security).
  • Proven expertise in data warehousing concepts, architecture, and implementation.
  • Intermediate to advanced programming skills in C# (.NET Framework/Core).
  • Strong experience with data modeling, ETL, and data integration best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10-12 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
