This role is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and support of high-quality live and on-demand web streams for executive communications, corporate meetings, product launches, and other key internal and external events. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in streaming platforms, encoding workflows, and live event production—particularly in hybrid and remote environments—with the ability to deliver simultaneous outputs to both internal networks and public-facing platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn Live, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter).
This role is a part of our Flex workforce and works on a project-to-project basis; on average, 3-5 days/month.
● Lead the technical planning and execution of live streams for both internal and external corporate events.
● Configure, operate, and troubleshoot streaming hardware and software, including encoders (hardware/software), audio interfaces, video switchers, and bonded cellular systems as needed.
● Manage multi-destination outputs to platforms such as the corporate intranet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, YouTube Live, LinkedIn Live, Facebook, X, and custom RTMP endpoints.
● Collaborate with event producers, broadcast teams, and AV vendors to ensure seamless, professional-grade streaming experiences.
● Maintain and optimize encoding profiles, latency settings, and quality standards based on platform requirements and target audiences.
● Conduct pre-event rehearsals and technical checks with presenters and remote contributors.
● Document technical setups, workflows, lessons learned, and produce supporting diagrams for future reference.
● Stay current on accessibility and compliance best practices, including captioning, ASL integration, and multi-language support.
● Support signal routing, feed integration, and failover contingency planning.
● Provide on-call technical support during live events, especially for executive-level or high-visibility streams.
● Ensure secure and authenticated content delivery for confidential or internal streams.
● 3–5+ years of experience in live streaming engineering or technical event production, ideally in a corporate or broadcast environment.
● Advanced knowledge of streaming platforms such as Wowza, Vimeo, Brightcove, YouTube Live, LinkedIn Live, Facebook Live, and X Live.
● Proficiency with streaming tools and hardware, including OBS, vMix, Wirecast, Epiphan Pearl, LiveU, Haivision, and Teradek.
● Experience with video switchers such as Blackmagic ATEM, Ross Carbonite, or Panasonic systems.
● Solid understanding of streaming protocols (RTMP, SRT, NDI), network fundamentals, and CDN performance.
● Proven ability to troubleshoot complex signal flow and hybrid streaming setups.
● Strong communication and organizational skills; capable of performing under pressure in live environments.
● Familiarity with accessibility requirements for public-facing streams, including captions and language support.
● Working knowledge of enterprise video platforms such as Kaltura, Microsoft Stream, and Zoom Webinars is a plus.
● Experience supporting executive town halls, corporate broadcasts, or special event productions.
● Basic video editing or post-production capabilities for stream archive delivery.
● Familiarity with intercom and crew communication systems (e.g., Clear-Com, Unity).
● Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS, Dante Level 1/2, or NewTek NDI are strongly preferred
