ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Direction: Provide strong leadership, setting the creative vision and direction for the studio. Inspire and mentor teams to achieve their best and foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Studio Operations: Oversee all aspects of studio operations, including project management, EBITDA health, team allocation, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure timely and successful game development.
- Game Development Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for game development, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with market trends, player preferences, and the company's goals.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Lead recruitment efforts, build and manage a talented team of game developers, artists, designers, and other necessary personnel. Nurture talent, providing mentorship and growth opportunities.
- Creative Oversight: Guide and contribute to the creative process, from game concept to design and development, ensuring high-quality and innovative game experiences.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including production, marketing, technology, and business development, to align strategies and achieve overall company objectives.
- Quality Assurance and Innovation: Ensure adherence to quality standards, drive innovation, and continuously seek ways to improve game development processes and techniques.
- Securing projects: As the operation director of this studio, you are required to actively engage in business activities related to the studio and assist the Business Development team in securing projects.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in a senior leadership role within the game development industry or related fields.
- Strong understanding of game development processes, technologies, market trends, and player preferences.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality games and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in game development, computer science, business administration, or related field. Advanced degrees and certifications are a plus.
