This People Business Partner (HRBP) role is critical for driving HR initiatives aligned with the fast-paced growth and scaling needs of the company, specifically supporting Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) teams. The HRBP will act as a true thought partner to the CTO, Head of Product, and Head of Engineering, working collaboratively to address the unique challenges of scaling a high-growth organization. This role requires a strong consultative approach, with proven experience supporting EPD teams in high-growth environments, helping establish the HRBP foundation for EPD teams to scale effectively.

  • Partner with EPD leadership to understand business goals and provide tailored HR solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in organizational design, workforce planning, and scaling technical/creative teams.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for strategic decisions around talent, team dynamics, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition to attract and retain world-class technical and product talent.
  • Develop onboarding experiences tailored to EPD roles.
  • Design and implement scalable talent management frameworks.
  • Serve as a key resource for EPD employees and leaders, addressing concerns and managing conflicts.
  • Partner with leaders to identify and proactively address performance issues.
  • Equip managers with tools and training for employee relations and performance concerns.
  • Conduct thorough investigations as needed.
  • Work closely with EPD teams to build and sustain a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with employees to gather insights and create actionable plans for enhancing engagement and retention.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen morale, foster team cohesion, and celebrate achievements.
  • Leverage HR metrics and analytics to inform strategic decisions and measure program impact.
  • Monitor trends and provide regular reports to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead change management initiatives for scaling technical and creative teams.
  • Partner with EPD leaders to communicate changes effectively and ensure alignment.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local labor laws and scale effectively.
  • Develop and refine policies that reinforce core values and promote inclusivity.

Role Overview

Our People Business Partner (HRBP) dedicated to Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) will play a critical role in driving HR initiatives that align with the fast-paced growth and scaling needs of our company. As a true thought partner to our CTO, Head of Product, Head of Engineering, you will work collaboratively to address the unique challenges of scaling a high-growth organization. This role requires a strong consultative approach, with proven experience supporting EPD teams in high-growth environments. Reporting directly to our Head of People Business Partners, you’ll help establish the HRBP foundation for our EPD teams, enabling us to scale effectively.

  • Partner with EPD leadership to understand business goals and provide tailored HR solutions that drive results in a high-growth, scaling environment.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner, bringing deep expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, and navigating challenges inherent in scaling technical and creative teams.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that enable leaders to make strategic decisions around talent, team dynamics, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborative Talent Management
  • Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to attract and retain world-class technical and product talent, ensuring we meet the demands of a rapidly growing organization.
  • Develop onboarding experiences that not only integrate new hires into their teams but also instill a growth-oriented mindset tailored to EPD roles.
  • Design and implement scalable talent management frameworks, including performance reviews, succession planning, and career pathing, aligned to the needs of technical and product teams in a high-growth company.
  • Employee Relations and Performance Management
  • Serve as a key resource for EPD employees and leaders, addressing concerns, managing conflicts, and ensuring fair and transparent resolutions.
  • Partner with leaders to identify and proactively address performance issues, providing coaching, guidance, and support for improvement plans.
  • Equip managers with the tools and training necessary to handle employee relations and performance concerns effectively, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Conduct thorough investigations as needed, ensuring consistent and compliant resolutions.
  • Culture and Employee Experience
  • Work closely with EPD teams to build and sustain a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within technical and creative environments.

  • Monitor trends and provide regular reports that highlight opportunities to enhance organizational effectiveness and address specific challenges within EPD teams.
  • Change Management Leadership
  • Lead change management initiatives that address the challenges of scaling technical and creative teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Partner with EPD leaders to communicate changes effectively and ensure alignment across teams during periods of growth and transition.
  • Compliance and Scalability
  • Ensure HR policies and practices not only comply with local labor laws but also scale effectively as the company grows.
  • Develop and refine policies that reinforce our core values and promote inclusivity across EPD teams.

What You Have

  • 7+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, with a demonstrated track record of success supporting Engineering, Product, and Design teams in high-growth, scaling organizations.
  • Desire to build from the ground up.
  • Proven ability to build strong, consultative relationships with senior leaders, serving as a true thought partner to technical and creative leaders.
  • Deep knowledge of organizational dynamics, particularly during periods of rapid growth and scale, with specific expertise in EPD teams.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable HR strategies that address the unique needs of technical and creative roles.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with a focus on delivering results in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, conflict resolution, and addressing employee needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
