As a People Partner at Rush Street Interactive, you will provide strategic HR support across the employee lifecycle within your assigned business group. This involves partnering with leaders to enhance team performance and align people strategies with business objectives. Responsibilities include workforce planning, talent management, organizational development, training & development, employee relations, and compliance. You'll leverage data analytics, lead change management initiatives, and collaborate with the global People team on key projects. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership presence and expertise in global HR practices, able to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution.

We are seeking an experienced People Partner to join our team. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you will be responsible for delivering strategic, tactical, and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle within your assigned business group.

As a trusted advisor and change agent, you will drive high-impact people strategies that align with business goals, foster a strong culture, and reinforce our core values. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership presence and expertise in global People practices. The ideal candidate will balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution, supporting complex global projects and processes while ensuring business-driven HR solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership and Business Support

  • Act as the main point of contact for all people related matters in the assigned business group, offering strategic and operational HR support throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Develop strong consultative relationships across the organization, acting as a trusted HR advisor to leaders and aligning people strategies with business objectives and priorities.
  • Parnter with leaders to enhance team performance, improve employee experience, and overall business outcomes.
  • Lead and influence key people programs that support the company’s long-term goals, driving change management efforts and cultural transformation.
  • Support change management efforts, ensuring effective communication and smoothe implementation of initiatives.
  • Leverage people data and analytics to identify trends, provide actionable insights, support data-driven decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Talent Management & Organizational Development

  • Lead workforce planning to ensure the business has the right talent to meet current and future needs; partner with hiring managers to assess staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and support key hiring processes when necessary.
  • Support leadership with organizational design and succession planning to enhance workforce agility and performance.

Training & Development

  • Identify and address skill gaps by assessing training needs and leading strategic learning initiatives for both managers and employees.
  • Collaborate with leaders to implement global development programs, leadership training, and targeted learning opportunities that foster a culture of continuous growth.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers, enhancing leadership capabilities and people management skills.

Employee Relations, Legal, and Compliance

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations and company policies, ensuring compliance across all HR activities and mitigating legal risk.
  • Provide expert guidance to managers on employment law, investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to address potential issues and foster a risk-aware culture.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues resolving conflict in line with organizational policies and best practices.

Global People Team Collaboration

  • Partner with global People team to align priorities and drive key initiatives, and contribute to projects.
  • Design, refine, and implement People processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and continuous improvement.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in global HR Business Partnering roles, fast-paced tech environments, high-growth companies, or international scale-ups.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law with the ability to navigate compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and convey information clearly, both written and verbal.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to assess risk, solve complex challenges, and drive business results in dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrated project management and change management experience, leading initiatives and driving organizational improvements.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to adapt and thrive in fast-changing environments.
  • Proficiency in data analytics, using insights to track trends, inform decision-making, and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and relevant HR systems.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or a related field
  • PHR Certification, preferred #LI-Hybrid
