Principal Machine Learning Engineer

The Prediction & Behavior ML team at Zoox is seeking a Principal ML Engineer to lead the development of machine learning algorithms that influence driving behavior and provide ML capabilities for simulation and validation. You will collaborate closely with Perception, Simulation, and Safety Validation teams to advance the company's technical stack. Your role will involve cross-team problem-solving, prototyping new approaches, and influencing the long-term technical direction of multiple organizations. Responsibilities include developing algorithms to model future vehicle behavior, building foundation models for on-vehicle and offline applications, leveraging generative deep learning for simulation, and providing technical mentorship. You will also collaborate with engineers from Perception, Planning, and Simulation to address the Autonomous Driving problem in complex urban environments.
