What you will OWN:

• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies.
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Work with stakeholders, including the Technical Architects, Developers, Product Owners, and Executives, to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Create tools for data management and data analytics that can assist them in building and optimizing our product to become an innovative industry leader.

You would make a GREAT FIT if you have:

• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience in Python language and working on large projects.
• Experience with at least one popular Python framework (like Django/Flask).
• Experience with relation SQL databases, NoSQL databases like DynamoDB/Couchbase/MongoDB is a plus.
• Hands-on experience using Cloud Dataware houses like AWS Redshift, GBQ, etc.
• Experience in building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow.
• Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, and AWS Batch would be an added advantage.
• Experience in any ETL tool and the ability to build and modify ETL jobs will be an added advantage.
• Understanding flat files, importing & exporting data, and building and maintaining DataLake (DWH) is a must.
• Ability to debug the data quality issues and find the root cause, setting up alerts for proactive monitoring.
• Proficiency in optimizing the SQL queries and ETL processes using database core features like indexes, views, and temporary tables.
• Ability to understand the business domain, underlying data structure, and company’s big-picture data needs.
