Arkane Lyon is developing the upcoming title Marvel’s Blade, a third person, single player, action-adventure set in the heart of Paris. The game is based on the comic book hero Blade and will feature an original story with the studio’s signature immersive gameplay and world-class narrative.

Responsibilities
Under the Studio Director, the Production Director’s main missions are:
Strategy and planning
- Define, implement, and refine the production strategy to meet the project's quality, budget, and time constraints.
- Collaborate with the Executive Producer and Studio Director to build and maintain the high-level roadmap, timeline, and requirements of projects
- Manage the project's capacity planning to ensure that production teams are adequately staffed and structured to handle the project's scope and complexity.
- Recognize and proactively tackle potential risks concerning the schedule, resources, or production alignment, and develop contingency plans in collaboration with the Associate Executive Producer and Executive Producer.
- Make sure all production activities adhere to the project's budget and time constraints, striking a balance between ambition and practicality.
Workflow and processes
- Be a champion for the continuous improvement and optimization of the organizational structure of the studio and the production methods to make optimal use of the team's skills and time to obtain the expected level of quality for the game.
- Maintain high level project agnostic best practice documentation and evangelize their adoption to the team.
- Establish and manage workflows, processes, and tools to enable efficient collaboration and ensure the team meets both creative and project goals.
- Continuously assess the game's development progress and enhance production processes to improve planning strategy, team efficiency, streamline workflows, and prevent bottlenecks, focusing on innovation and improvement.
- Introduce and apply project management methodologies that best support the project's production needs, considering the current development phase.
- Regularly review and adjust production tools and techniques to boost productivity and ensure adaptability as project needs evolve.
Collaboration and communication
- Collaborate with Department Heads to ensure production processes support the game's vision while remaining feasible within project constraints.
- Create comprehensive reports on production performance, milestone progress, and any changes to production strategies for higher management and key stakeholders. Develop indicators to monitor and convey succinctly project quality, delivery, and predictability for the internal team’s awareness.
- Drive initiatives to address cross-departmental production challenges, ensuring swift resolution with minimal impact on the project timeline, quality and budget.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in leading production within the video game industry, with a preference for candidates who have successfully launched at least one game in the role of Production Director.
- Proven track record of delivering at least one AAA game, ideally overseeing the project from its initial concept through to its final release.
- In-depth knowledge of development workflows, understanding of interdependencies, and experience in managing large-scale team productions.
- Dedication to teamwork and promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and work styles, promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Excellent skills in communication, presentation, and building interpersonal relationships.
- Keen awareness of how your decisions impact the creative process, as well as the overall scope, scale, and quality of the game.
- Self-motivated, autonomous, curious, and collaborative, with a flexible mindset that adapts to changing challenges and new opportunities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage complex workflows, particularly in developing and overseeing production pipelines.
