The Program Manager will manage the development of new product introduction projects within the supply chain organization. Responsibilities include creating and executing project plans with resource allocation, timelines, risk management, budget, and production ramp strategy. They will collaborate with various teams to define objectives, requirements, and scope. The Program Manager will drive results to meet deadlines, manage suppliers, facilitate meetings, and monitor project progress. The role involves leading project reviews, communicating status updates, and leading innovative projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electronics and telecommunications industry.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

  • Experience in IT and ERP implementation

Job Description

  • Manages the development of new product introduction projects, develop and execute comprehensive project plan include resource allocation, timelines, risk management, budget and product costing, production ramp strategy, within supply chain organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Test, Procurement, Supply Chain Operations and Finance teams to define project objective, requirements, scope and success criteria. 
  • Drive result and execution to meet committed program dates, quality goals, project scope, project budgets and other obligations. 
  • Manage suppliers on prototype builds and manufacturing readiness to enable the new product launch flawlessly. 
  • Facilitate cross-functional team and suppliers meeting to drive alignment, gather feedback, and make informed decisions. 
  • Monitor and control project progress and performance metrics, proactively addressing issues and risk to mitigate impact on project outcomes. 
  • Lead project review and communicate project status, milestone, issues and risk mitigation and key insight to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organization goals. 
  • Lead innovate projects as required.


Basic Requirements

  • Candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Engineering/IT/ Data Science/Applied Sciences or any relevant field. 
  • 5-8 years of working experience in the electronics and telecommunications industry with many different disciplines (manufacturing, engineering, service, product management, field and IT engineering) and project/program management. 
  • Strong understanding of product development life cycle and supply chain processes such as forecasting, planning, inventory management, operations, manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, transportation and warehousing. 
  • Experience in IT and Enterprise Resource Planning implementation.
  • Proven track record of managing supplier and successfully leading complex projects from initiation to closure, delivering results on time and within budget. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations. 
  • Experience in managing projects and teams (as the Program Manager) in a global, multi-site environment where many of the resources will not be in the same site or country. 
  • Proficiency in G Suite tools. 
  • Excellent English language communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) is essential. 
  • Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
