What the Role Entails
As a Senior Cinematic Producer, you’ll play a key role in bringing our cinematics to life. You’ll report to the Cinematics Director and work as a team in the management of both an internal Cinematic team and outsource vendors. This person will be well-versed in cinematics, motion capture processes and best practices, have experience working closely with outsource vendors, and can bring best-in-class organization and production methodologies to the team.
The Senior Cinematic Producer will ensure the smooth running of each cinematic project by facilitating communication and information sharing between artists, supervisors, departments, and vendors. They will be very comfortable in a startup environment and comfortable building teams, pipelines, processes and good relationships with outsource vendors/studios to ensure the success of the project and of the studio as a whole. This role currently requires a full-time in-office commitment of 5 days a week with some potential hybrid flexibility.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Cinematic Producers, Cinematic Director, Animation Supervisor, and various related game teams to help create and maintain a cinematic production pipeline that can scale to full production.
- Maintain and update the cinematic production roadmap and adjust schedules as necessary keeping both our internal Cinematics team and outsource studios working smoothly and informed about deadlines and potential red flags.
- Management and tracking of all Art assets required for the internal cinematic team and outsource vendor teams.
- Work closely with LSLA departments and outsource vendor/s to organize and manage the flow and delivery of data and assets required for all cinematic shoots and projects.
- Creation and execution of vendor contracts in conjunction with our Legal team and Tencent HQ as needed.
- Schedule meetings & oversee and/or prepare submissions/notes for dailies and reviews internally and externally.
- Liaise with the Motion Capture Stage Manager, Coordinator & Mocap/Casting Producer ensuring they have all information and internal assets needed for each PCAP shoot.
- The role will require management, assisting, or helping with related special projects such as In-Game Media
- This role may include management or tasking of additional cinematic production staff.
- This role may also require full days at our mocap stage ensuring that the mocap shoots & Cinematic schedule run smoothly.
- Other cinematic or studio duties as needed.
Who We Look For
- 10+ years of experience in a Producer or Sr. Producer capacity.
- In depth knowledge and production experience working in an Animation and/or VFX Pipeline from concept/script through final delivery.
- Ability to work 5 days a week in the Irvine office or on our off-site motion capture stage during some or all cinematic motion capture shoots.
- Shipped at least 1 AAA title or motion picture using performance capture technology.
- Previous OS vendor oversight including the management of vendor reviews.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and note-taking skills.
- Strong knowledge of production tracking software such as Excel or Shotgrid and the ability to build internal pages for record keeping.
- Ability to evaluate scope of scripts (read scripts, assess resources and time required etc.).
- Familiarity with setting up standups, scrums and sprints.
- Experience managing large-scale schedules and budget.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when expectations change, or things don’t go as planned.
- Prior management and tasking of Production coordinators and/or Production Assistants
- Ability to work and thrive in a startup environment knowing that not all tools or methodologies are fully established in all areas.
- A Team Player, willingness to roll up their sleeves and help fill additional roles to help the studio keep production moving.

- Experience with game engines, voice over, in-game media, RV, Shotgrid/Shotgun, JIRA, Google Sheets, Confluence, MS Project.

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $120,960.0 to $251,640.0 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
