Senior Data/AI Engineer

Ahead Digital, an agency specialising in digital strategy based in Paris and Brussels, is looking for a AI Engineer, for a 12-months assignment to be filled around mi-july (freelance status). This mission offers the opportunity to work remotely (up to 50%)

For a Belgian Financial Institution, you will work as a senior Data/AI Engineer, within the "Data Center of Excellence" team. 

On a day-to-day basis, you will have the responsability to : 

• Extend and maintain the NBB's Data Platform (Databricks) in Azure based on current needs and evolving requirements.
• Lead and oversee the deployment of AI Azure services including AI Foundry, AI Search, OpenAI service and Document Intelligence, and serve as its technical owner.
• Set up governance and ensure Data Security and Compliance across Azure Services in the Data Platform
• Design and implement data ingestion pipelines for AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams working on AI projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues as necessary
• Offer expert advice on architectural discussions, AI model selection, and other technical decisions.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data and AI infrastructure processes.

Qualifications

Hard Skills: 

• Proven experience as a Data/AI Engineer
• Expert in Databricks with at least 3 years of practical experience
• Experience with Azure AI Services
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

Soft Skills : 

• Team Player
• Curious and proactive
• Good communication skills
