As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will lead the development and maintenance of scalable web applications. Responsibilities include architecting user interfaces, collaborating with product managers and designers, implementing UI designs, establishing JavaScript test suites, resolving performance bottlenecks, mentoring junior engineers, and participating in code reviews. You will contribute to a dynamic team, ensuring optimal performance and driving the technical direction of frontend development. The role involves hands-on development and technical support.
Must have:
- 5+ years in front-end web development.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, DOM, HTTP(S), RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in a modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, etc.).
- Experience with JavaScript build tools.
- Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of component libraries.
Good to have:
- Familiarity with NodeJS ecosystem.
- Experience with NoSQL databases.
- Portfolio of front-end projects.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.

About the role
We seek a highly skilled and passionate 'Senior Frontend Engineer' to play a pivotal role in building and scaling our innovative web applications. You will be instrumental in shaping the user experience, ensuring optimal performance, and driving the technical direction of our front-end development. Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of robust, scalable, and high-performance frontend web applications
- Architect and implement user interfaces with a focus on exceptional design, responsiveness, and user experience
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define feature priorities and translate requirements into elegant and efficient frontend solutions
- Champion and implement UI designs that adhere to project specifications and maintain consistency with our design system
- Establish and maintain comprehensive JavaScript test suites, including unit, integration, and cross-browser testing, to ensure code quality and reliability
- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and software defects, implementing effective and scalable solutions
- Mentor and guide junior frontend engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment
- Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
- Provide timely and effective technical support for our web applications and contribute to the development of ad-hoc technical solutions as needed
Role Requirements:
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience in front-end web development.
- Deep understanding and practical expertise in core web technologies: HTML, CSS (including preprocessors like Sass/LESS/PostCSS/CSS Modules), JavaScript (ES6+), JSON, DOM manipulation, HTTP(S) protocols, RESTful APIs, cross-browser compatibility, web performance optimization, and security best practices
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern JavaScript framework and its ecosystem (e.g., React, Vue, Svelte, Angular)
- Solid working knowledge of JavaScript build tools (e.g., Webpack, Parcel, Grunt, Gulp, Rollup)
- Proven experience with JavaScript testing frameworks and libraries (e.g., Mocha, Chai, Jasmine, Jest, AVA, Cypress, Puppeteer, React Testing Library)
- Practical experience with modern front-end component libraries and UI frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation, Semantic UI, Tailwind CSS, Ant Design, Material UI)
- Familiarity with the NodeJS ecosystem and experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., CouchDB, CouchBase, Cassandra, MongoDB) is a significant advantage
- A strong portfolio showcasing your front-end projects and contributions (e.g., Github, Codepen)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with strong spelling and grammar
- Ambitious with strong values of collaboration, agility, and willingness to challenge the status quo
