The Senior Manager will also foster continuous improvement and commercial experimentation. They will work with cross-functional teams to optimize player impact and develop best practices for Store trading. This role contributes to the global and localized commercial plans for the organization.

Are you a visionary commercial leader with a proven track record of driving transformative growth in dynamic, fast-paced environments? We are seeking a world-class Senior Manager, Revenue Optimization to drive commercial performance delivering profitable growth and unparalleled customer experiences through the PlayStation Store storefronts.  

In this high-impact role, you will spearhead delivery of operational trading plans, leveraging cutting-edge pricing strategies, promotional insights, and localised approaches to captivate players and drive revenue. Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the PlayStation Store, Commercial, Marketing, Finance and Insights Teams, you will translate strategic goals into actionable trading plans, underpinned by measurable KPIs.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Trading Plan Execution: responsible for creating and optimising an operational commercial plan that maximises improved margin, revenue and market share. Responsible for creating and updating the Trading Calendar, ensuring stakeholder alignment.  
  • Pricing & Promotions Optimization: work with stakeholders to develop and deliver promotional and pricing plans ensuring alignment with the Trading Calendar and revenue and margin objectives. Further leverage player data, market trends and competitor insights to optimise strategies. Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure that executions are supported through the line. 
  • Local Market Optimization: work with stakeholders to identify market specific opportunities. 
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: responsible for working with Finance to collate Store inputs into forecasting and budgeting processes. Further responsible for working with the Sales Planning Team to analyse weekly and monthly performance to identify opportunities and risks. 
  • Trading Evaluation: Work with teams to continuously evaluate trading performance, understanding the impact of pricing and promotional decisions on revenue and margin. Work with the teams to develop detailed insights and reporting to highlight performance impact and produce actionable insights and data-backed recommendations. Share insights on a regular basis during trading meetings.  
  • Foster Continuous Improvement: responsible for supporting the development of a data driven culture of continuous improvement.  
  • Translate Strategy into Action: accountable for translating strategy and plans into OKR frameworks, building well defined programmes to positively impact objectives. Establishing and developing a clear set of KPI’s with stakeholders to ensure alignment with the Store Strategy and Mid-Range Plans.  
  • Commercial Experimentation: responsible for designing, developing and delivering the operational pricing experimentation plan to improve margin delivery. The senior manager will collaborate with the Store and D2C Experimentation leads to develop clear commercial hypotheses and will further work with relevant stakeholders to communicate the goals and KPI’s for each test, further ensuring measurable and impactful outcomes.  
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Collaborate with teams across the business, including the Store, D2C and GM/GSBO Teams, to build strong relationships and to deliver against insights, plans, and recommendations. Work with Matrix teams to foster a collaborative gl/ocal hybrid culture that encourages and supports high performance, creativity, innovation and data led decision making.  
  • Optimise Player Impact: Working with the Store Player LTV Manager, analyse the impact of commercial decisions on player acquisition and retention. Develop reporting and insight to understand how players are responding to commercial executions and campaigns.  
  • Develop Best Practices: Develop Store Trading and Commercial best practices and act as a subject matter expert across the business. Share knowledge and insights with the wider business, and mentor team members where appropriate. 
  • Competitor Analysis: Work with BC&A to understand competitor trends, communicate these to the Store and wider teams in order to influence commercial plan development.  
  • Understand Industry Trends: Stay abreast of trends and best practices in digital commerce. Keep up to date with emerging industry trends, commercial ideas and innovation, and best practices to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the business.  

What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience in ecommerce or direct-to-consumer trading roles, ideally within Retail, FMCG, Media, or Tech. 
  • Proven track record of driving commercial impact, achieving KPIs, and delivering growth in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment. 
  • Expertise in trading, pricing, category and promotional management, and creating ecommerce trading plans and calendars. 
  • Practical experience with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue growth strategies. 
  • Strong understanding of digital media distribution, ecommerce operations, and customer behaviour. 
  • Familiarity with retail software solutions e.g. pricing, promotions and planning tools. 

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Exceptional commercial instincts and advanced analytical skills to evaluate a complex trading environment and to be able to identify opportunities or risks. 
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen to manage revenue and margins targets effectively. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools. 
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver results under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment. 
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, build relationships, and work collaboratively across teams. 
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and upskill team members across matrix teams in order to deliver improved performance. 
  • Experience working collaboratively with sales, marketing, insights, and finance teams to execute trading activities. 
  • Comfortable working in hybrid (global and local) organizational structures and navigating various levels of seniority.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
