Responsibilities & Job Duties (include, but are not limited to):
- Drive the design, implementation, and deployment of software applications and systems in a fast-paced agile environment
- Work closely with product owner & development team to flesh out requirements and solution design
- Lead triaging and troubleshooting of technical issues, seeing them through to resolution
- Interface with internal and external clients to ensure all technical solutions are considered and vetted
- Mentor and collaborate with peer software engineers through both high and low-level technical challenges
- Improve departmental and operating efficiencies by developing technical standards and practices
- Write unit and integration tests and perform other quality-oriented tasks as needed to ensure high quality software applications and systems
- Review the work of engineers of every skill level
- Deliver high quality architecture solutions for technology and operational excellence
Required Qualifications:
- Possess bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/technical training
- Excellent oral, written, and listening skills
- Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the software development field
- Strong desire to learn and help others learn
- Demonstrated experience as the primary SME (subject matter expert) of large, complex software products
- Experience in every area of software development (server-side, front-end, database/document storage, reporting, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- 7+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer or related Software Development technical role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Microsoft .NET technology stack (C#, MVC .NET, ASP.NET, et al)Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with the event ticketing industry
- Experience in deployment automation and IaC (infrastructure as code)
- Experience with Azure
