Job Description
The Migrations Delivery team at Smarsh is responsible for designing project activities, communicating with clients, and coordinating with internal and external teams to achieve project goals. The Sr. Project Manager will lead projects, manage all phases of Smarsh migrations contracts, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery within budget. They will also coordinate resources, document issues, and manage project scope. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Must have:
- 7+ years of Project Management experience in a customer-facing role.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.
- Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Experienced user of collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Confluence.
- Experienced at project management specific tools and methodologies.
Good to have:
- PMI or PRINCE2 Certification is a plus.
- Compliance Archiving experience is a plus.
- Experience with financial regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Experience in a Professional Services organization is a plus.

Summary
The Migrations Delivery team is responsible for the designing of project activities, positioning client-facing communications, working with technology and non-technology teams within Smarsh and partners to assign resources in order to achieve project goals. The most successful Project Managers work to anticipate client needs, contribute to the Migrations Delivery team as well as individual project teams, and drive cross-functional efforts towards project goals.
This role reports to the Manager Migration Delivery, Data Management
How will you contribute?
- Leading projects of varying sizes and executing all phases of Smarsh migrations contracts.
- Work based on individual client contracts, encompassing the following:
- Planning
- Requirements
- Oversight for Migration Setup, Pilot extraction, Archiving, Reconciliation and Customer Validation
- Milestone tracking
- Project Reporting
- Drive execution of individual projects to ensure on time delivery within budget.
- Coordinate internal functions and external 3rd party resources as required.
- Work with Migration Management, Engineering & Systems Engineering to identify and assign needed resources.
- Collaborate with people managers to identify and assign resources to individual project tasks.
- Create Project folders and update templates for each project by changing references to the customer and project details as outlined in the Statement of Work.
- Responsible for communicating Project status both internally and externally in the desired cadence and format necessary
- Project issue documentation, escalation and resolution
- Scope and change management
- Other duties as assigned
What will you bring?
- 7+ years of Project Management experience in a customer-facing role.
- College Degree or High school diploma, or equivalent combination of education and outstanding analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Experienced user of collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Confluence.
- Experienced at project management specific tools and methodologies.
- PMI or PRINC2 Certification a plus
- Compliance Archiving experience a plus
- Experience with financial regulatory requirements is a plus
