Job Description

As a Strategic Partner Manager at YouTube's Content Partnerships team, you'll cultivate strong relationships with a portfolio of partners, focusing on growth and advocating for their success on the platform. Responsibilities include managing complex content agreements, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.), defining and analyzing key performance metrics, and identifying new opportunities. You will work with traditional and digital-first publishers to enhance the YouTube ecosystem. The role demands excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the media landscape. You'll be responsible for day-to-day partnership management, performance growth, and internal advocacy for your partner portfolio.
Must have:
  • 4+ years experience in business development or related fields
  • Experience managing partnerships and agreements
  • C-level executive interaction experience
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
Good to have:
  • Master's degree
  • 6+ years experience in sales, business development, or content strategy
  • Excellent partnership and influencing skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or content strategy, with exposure to areas like media strategy, news publishers or internet based businesses.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience across sales and business development/consulting/content strategy, with exposure to areas like media strategy, news publishers or internet based businesses.
  • Excellent partnership skills, and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally and externally.
  • Excellent communication, investigative, organizational and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow direct relationships with a portfolio of partners, which includes day-to-day partnership activities, performance growth, and advocate internally on behalf of our partners.
  • Define, model, execute against and analyze key distribution and product adoption metrics and recommend improvements internally and to partners, as well as develop new opportunities.
  • Work with teams, across the YouTube Business Organization and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Policy, Comms, Legal and others) to bring the solutions to partners.
