Job Description

Glean seeks an experienced Vertical Marketing Manager to build and execute marketing strategies targeting specific industry verticals. Responsibilities include developing targeted messaging and tactics, researching customer needs and KPIs, creating comprehensive vertical plans (including personas, messaging, and lead generation), building marketing assets (presentations, website copy, white papers), developing Glean prompts and workflows, and enabling go-to-market teams. This role requires 4+ years of SaaS product marketing with a focus on vertical markets and a passion for developing ROI-based selling strategies. The role is based 3 days a week in the Palo Alto HQ.

About the role

Glean is searching for an experienced Head of Solutions, Verticals, and Business Value Marketing.  This person is responsible for building-out Glean’s marketing function to target specific departmental and vertical use cases, as well as develop ROI tools and methodologies for communicating business value for these solution areas. 

What you will do and achieve

  • Develop Glean’s targeted marketing message and tactics for vertical markets 
  • Research and understand our customers in target verticals. Learn their use cases, their KPIs, and their approach to AI-powered productivity
  • For each vertical, develop a comprehensive plan to address each segment, including target personas, solution-specific messaging, outbound lead generation strategy, and partnership strategy.
  • Build-out a complete set of persona-specific messaging for the target vertical(s), including sales presentations, website copy, whitepapers, demos, demand generation assets, etc.
  • Develop/curate a set of Glean prompts, workflows, actions, and tools that drive Glean adoption in the target verticals.
  • Enable go-to-market teams on messaging and approach. This includes fellow marketing staff, sales, technical sales, and post-sales go-to-market teams

Who you are

  • BA/BS in engineering, business, or a related degree, and/or MBA
  • 4+ years in SaaS product marketing with vertical marketing experience
  • Passionate about working with customers and experts to develop targeted messages and assets
  • Experience in ROI-based selling and creating compelling customer case studies
  • Working knowledge of key applications and systems used in one or more target verticals, including Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Media and Entertainment, and more
  • Stellar written and verbal communication, with experience simplifying concepts and influencing stakeholders, and impeccable attention to detail

The standard Base Salary range for this position is $120,000 - $190,000 annually. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
