Job Description

This Account Executive role at Google Customer Solutions focuses on mid-market sales within the Greek market. Responsibilities include exceeding quarterly revenue and product growth targets, managing a portfolio of medium-to-large businesses, proactively pitching and consulting with clients on their digital marketing strategies, and driving customer growth through exceptional sales experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a proven track record in achieving sales goals. The role requires fluency in English and Greek and involves approximately 20% travel. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop tailored advertising strategies using Google's product offerings, and build lasting partnerships to optimize advertising investments. The position involves working with executives and acting as a trusted advisor to expand their advertising budgets and achieve their business objectives.
Must have:
  • 5+ years sales/media sales experience
  • Fluency in English and Greek
  • Ability to meet quarterly targets
  • Client relationship management expertise
  • Strategic sales techniques
Good to have:
  • Experience in Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Bulgaria
  • Strong storytelling and narrative building skills
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in digital marketing

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in sales, media sales, account management, marketing, or consulting.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time as required.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Greek fluently to manage client relationships in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and competitive selling.
  • Experience working towards and exceeding quarterly goals (in business and or product growth).
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Greece, Malta, Cyprus and Bulgaria.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and high executive functioning within the digital marketing space.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly revenue and product growth targets.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large-size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Establish credibility with executives and serve as a trusted partner to optimize and expand their advertising investment.
