The APAC Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) Manager will provide finance leadership and oversight to APAC businesses (ANZ, SEA, Korea, Japan). Responsibilities include managing AOP and forecasts, financial reporting, P&L oversight, cost management, business partnering, and financial analysis. The role requires collaboration with regional and global finance teams, local management, and business stakeholders. The Manager will lead APAC FP&A teams, ensuring regional consistency and best practices, and will oversee APAC Procurement to Pay (P2P) policies and procedures. A strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication are essential.
Must have:
  • 5+ years FP&A/Finance experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Hyperion preferred)
  • Experience in multinational companies
  • APAC regional knowledge

Good to have:
  • MBA or professional qualification (CA, CPA, etc.)
  • Experience with Hyperion and Oracle systems
  • Business intelligence experience (Tableau, Power Query)
  • Experience in gaming/entertainment or media

Job Description:

Your Mission

The company is seeking a strategic and commercially experienced Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) to provide finance leadership and oversight to its businesses in APAC (comprising, ANZ, South East Asia, Korea and Japan). The FPA Manager is responsible for coordinating the regional reporting, planning and forecast processes along with being the primary finance partner for local management and commercial teams. In addition, this position helps to drive business reviews, manage operational risk and cost, and partner with business leaders to support strategic growth initiatives. It will require the candidate to build partnerships with the regional and global finance community to execute and deliver results.

The ideal candidate is an independent, self-motivated leader with a proven track record of proactively contributing to business development initiatives, assessing market opportunities, identifying process efficiencies, anticipating business needs, and implementing solutions across the organization. The Manager will have a lead role in the FPA finance function across APAC, with dotted lines into the business leaders across the wider APAC organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and forecasts for APAC, including loading of forecasts into ERP system (Hyperion)
  • Manage all APAC financial reporting including monthly/quarterly reports
  • Oversight over the APAC P&L with analysis of results vs. forecast and budget
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analysing causes of variances
  • Manage controllable costs and drive efficiencies in Go to Market operations
  • Provide finance partnering and support to key business stakeholders with ad hoc in-depth analysis, business case preparation and reporting
  • Exercise financial analysis/assessment on marketing spend, business opportunities and strategic projects
  • Lead APAC FP&A teams to drive regional consistency and adoption of best practices
  • Be the key person of contact for Global Finance and other key international business stakeholders
  • Oversight over the APAC Procurement to Pay (“P2P”) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance, accuracy of accruals and smooth operations
  • Work closely with local accounting functions, providing guidance and support to ensure that there is alignment & sharing of knowledge across finance functions
  • Provide feedback as required to tax & legal teams to ensure that all business models are in compliance with relevant laws

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, Accounting or Finance / Consulting related role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related areas or MBA focusing on Finance; possesses a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, AICPA, and ACCA
  • Experience in working with Multi-National Companies
  • Strong analytical mindset, ability to quickly identify and articulate the components of a complex project or issue
  • Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision
  • Good communication skills, ability to synthesise information and articulate to a senior audience
  • Solid knowledge of general accounting, finance, and tax
  • Able to work independently and multitask effectively, with limited direction
  • Have the capacity to develop and maintain senior level relationships and provide direction and influence at that level
  • Proficient skills in ERP system and MS office esp. Excel, PowerPoint

Pluses

  • Knowledge of APAC gaming markets
  • Experience with Hyperion and Oracle system

  • Any additional languages relevant to region
