Job Description

This role focuses on leading and growing the FHBP Categories of Taiwan consumer product licensing business. You will be responsible for strategic planning, partnership building, and execution with licensees and cross-functional teams. Key duties include ensuring licensees comply with Disney's business standards, collaborating on product development, managing budgets and forecasts, and driving consumer engagement through marketing initiatives. You will also play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with licensees.
Must have:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Consumer Products Industry
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
  • University graduate
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in FHBP industries is a plus
  • Experience in an international company is preferred
  • Result-oriented and capable of thriving under pressure
  • Self-directed and proactive, adept at starting things from scratch
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Summary:

1)   PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and grow the “FHBP Categories” of Taiwan consumer product licensing business in achieving of annual revenue target.
  • Take lead in strategic planning, partnership building, and high standard of execution with licensee and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure licensees have full understanding and are complying with Disney’s business standards.
  • Work with licensee and product development team to develop products ride on consumer trend and maximize our portfolio.
  • Work with licensee and finance team on target setting, forecast tracking, report collection and contract management.
  • Work with marketing team to guide licensee on driving consumer engagement, promotion, and in-store merchandising.
  • Play a key role to build and maintain a close relationship and partnership with licensees.

2)         DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Management

  • Develop a business plan to identify priority, issue, growth drivers and action plan.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in the FHBP categories to support licensee to unlock growth through various levers (product, channel, consumers… etc.).
  • Identify white space based on data and established markets’ experience to grow new business and maximize the FHBP Categories.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Development and Marketing team to provide one-stop solution to licensees.
  • Connect with the best practice from global and regional team to inspire local licensee with the new trends and opportunities.

Finance

  • Responsible for the assigned licensee target setting and revenue forecast.
  • Responsible for collection of royalty statements & reports.
  • Responsible for the administration and execution of the contract.

Product Development

  • Liaise with Product Development team to ensure products are consistent with category plan and ongoing product quality improvement program.
  • Assist where needed licensee’s product / artwork approvals on the system with Product Development team.

Marketing

  • Infused with marketing knowledge and creativity in coordination with Marketing Teams to support licensee on consumer engagement, promotion and in-store activations.
  • Connect with the best cases and new trend from global and regional team to inspire local licensee.
  • Proactively search for consumer trend, new products and marketing campaign to stimulate new ideas for licensee.
  • Ensure licensees implement the Disney branding and visual merchandising programs including all appropriate marketing approvals.

Licensing

  • Coordinate with DCP ILS Compliance Group to ensure licensees comply with Disney’s labor standards.
  • Coordinate with DCP Product Integrity Group to ensure licensees comply with Disney’s quality and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with Product Development Teams to ensure licensees have 100% approvals for all products launched to the market.
  • Ensure licensees’ thorough understanding and compliance of Disney’s contract, terms and conditions.
  • Ensure licensees complied with Disney brand management guideline and get approvals on the materials for marketing and retail promotions.

5)   REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education & Training

  • University graduate and above, preferably Marketing or Business Commerce.
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Working Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Consumer Products industry, specifically in sales, business development, marketing, or retail management roles.
  • Experience in business development within the FHBP industries is a plus.
  • Prior experience working in an international company is preferred.
