VFX Production Assistant

** For this role, as we are hiring for short-term contracts, we require candidates to have their PR, Citizenship or an open work permit and be located in Montreal.

A multi Oscar-winning creative studio, we have worked with some of the greatest storytellers in film today. Collaborating with directors and producers across the complete filmmaking process to help design, plan and create beautiful images, we focus on finding innovative creative solutions to support their vision and set new standards for visual effects in cinema.

Production Assistants are responsible for supporting the Producers and Production teams on a day-to-day basis. 

What you’ll do:

• Liaise with senior VFX staff, crew and key VFX clients

• Answer phone calls and take messages as appropriate (Sick or on holiday people for example)

• Update diaries and calendars schedules

• General administrative duties as required

• Download and Upload material from Clients and other collaborators

• Prepare room and equipment for various meetings

What we’re looking for:

• Able to communicate clearly and professionally with crew and clients

• Able to work well under pressure

• Excellent organization skills

• Strong computer skills especially with Ms Office suite, including Excel & Word and of the Google Suite including Sheets and Docs

• Fluent in English, oral and written

You might also have:

• Previous experience in a Production Assistant role

• Some knowledge or understanding of visual effects or post-production

• Previous experience using database, e.g. Shotgun or a similar production-orientated tool
