We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth through strategic partnerships within the video game industry. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing relationships with game studios, businesses, and organizations to expand our network and create mutually beneficial collaborations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve engaging with potential partners, understanding their needs, and developing tailored strategies to drive revenue and market expansion. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new opportunities, negotiating partnership agreements, and managing ongoing partner communication to ensure the success of our business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and a proactive mindset to navigate the dynamic landscape of the video game industry and maximize growth opportunities through strategic alliances.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business growth for BisectHosting by securing server hosting agreements with video game studios and other partners.
  • Track and analyze the gaming market to identify emerging trends and promising early-stage developers.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities for strategic alliances and partnerships which align with the company’s business objectives.
  • Lead all aspects of the partnership process, from cultivating relationships to structuring and closing deals.
  • Utilize CRM and other tools to track and manage partnership activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to expand network and identify new partnership prospects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or related roles within the video game industry.
  • Strong existing network and relationships within video game studios and related industry companies and organizations.
  • Proven track record of successfully prospecting, negotiating, and closing impactful partnership deals.
  • Experience managing CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) to track and analyze partnership activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to drive partnership initiatives forward.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on partnership opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel as required for meetings, events, and conferences.

Additional Skills:

  • Understanding of video game development and publishing processes.
  • Strong presentation and pitching skills.
  • Experience with contract negotiation and deal structuring.
